- And what I found was under some rocks that fell out of the stone wall I was walking along. It is day two of me going out exploring and metal detecting the abyss. A massive forest with lots of history hidden in the overgrown bowls of it all. People settled out here in the early 1700s and abandoned most of the farms at different point in the 1800s. I did a big hike on the otherside of the river after crossing the colonial stone bridge and just proceeded to search for rock walls and cart paths. I did see some signs of either a loggers camp or hunting cabin and just kept moving. This area has been deserted for so long that it is actually very hard to read the landscape history so the stone walls are a big help. Finally I got a good signal on my Fisher F19 and started digging and the target was under some rocks . pull the dirt back and I see silver ! and its a small coin ! whoa ! turns out to be a crime from 1852 and it is only the second one I have ever dug. It has been over ten years since I have found one of these. Finding old coins with a metal detector is always amazing.

After 77 years of living hard I cannot walk through a forest. It is such a pleasure to get travel along with you! I get a great deal of pleasure "standing" next to you as you dig for goodies left behind.
Anatomy of the perfect hunt. The hike, the scene, the weather, the ASMR of the dig, then....BAM...the payoff.
The Trime ! Thanks Charlie, what a show.❤
Thank you Charlie for the adventure ! Finding that Trime in a very beautiful condition is amazing ! Thank you again for the adventure !
That's a good result...A trime!!! In beautiful condition!!! A good thing 🕊️.....
BIG CONGRATS on your BEAUTIFUL 1852 TRIME. CHARLIE. AWESOMENESS IN THE HOLE😄👍😄
Charlie that Trime is awesome. I’ve had two hunts recently, just walking and looking, two spots totally overgrown. But the end of each one yielded a 1700/1800 copper ring, and a possible 1792 decorative silver button!
Thanks, Charlie!!! Be Blessed and stay safe 🙏....
Great find man!!!
Awesome, awesome find Charlie. A very surprising Not Thursday. Good for you. You earned it. Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸
Awesome as always man ! Trime still on bucket list for me . Living through your videos on week 3 of a 6-12 months elbow recovery from swinging big coil way to long one day. Happy hunting
I found one in 15 years, Congrats, and thanks for sharing.
No one can ever say we haven't earned the coins we get! Research and miles of walking and detecting for days and finally getting a coin. Then we start all over and do it again!
Wow…one of the nicest silver finds I have been privileged to see Charlie… congratulations.
Sweet trime Charlie! Congratulations 🎉
Epic find!
Still on my bucket list, huge congrats Charles! 💯🔥💥
Been detecting for 2 months. I've found a draped bust large cent, merc dime, amd a standing liberty quarter. Also some gold.

good one charlie!
Back in the day, that I would have took someone a long time to build those rock walls. Those are very cool.
Always a good day when they pop out that color
Beautiful coin!!!
Good Morning Charlie 🌞
Nice hunt and finds!
Awesome find!
Nice find brother.
Very cool hike with a reward at the end! Bring something to spray/wash the dirt off like some of your visiting friends do (Hoover Boys, etc.). Although the trime wasn't mint to start with, it is a little gem and the light scratches seen in the close-up might have been avoided. Probably not too much value lost in this case and it's wonderful. However, down the road, when you share your silver and gold finds with friends, you might notice the marks.
When, one day you find something of real numismatic value (e.g. dropped when new and undisturbed since) - it would be a shame to learn you killed 90% of its value by rubbing it wrong - like the little old ladies on Antiques Roadshow that shined something up to bring it to the show, and the appraiser goes 'that's a rare blah blah blah and its worth $X too bad someone stripped off the original finish finish by buffing it, if it was still original it would have been worth $XXXXXXXXXXX'. I've bought old coins that were beautiful and remarkably affordable because someone had done just that.
This was not intended in any negative way. I enjoy it when you pull up a chunk of lamp, door hinge or 'mission accomplished' just much as something valuable. Frankly, riding along on the hikes even if nothing is found is great. I'm just saying you have found stuff of monetary value occasionally, you might as well be prepared 'just in case'... :^)
you EARNED it...!
Yep.. I'm late again
Awesome stuff tho... Nice finds 👌
Amazing, so cool🎉
Awesome coin find congratulations
Do you spend a lot of time at the "proper breaks"? I would think maybe these spots would be resting places with more frequent activity and passage. through.
congrats dudeits trime time! such a cool little coin..well done
Wonderful
Hey Charlie, I've heard you mention "Rods wide" in other videos but I've never heard what that is? Can you please explain what that is in a future video? Thanks Brother, God Bless you ALL and keep you safe
True adventurer spirit: "I don't know. Let's go look!"
Well that takes your breath away
so happy for you.
Great find
Congratulations
That's an interesting coin, I've never seen one of those before. What is it called ?
Hey guys, I live in New Hampshire myself and I metal detect all over my surrounding areas. I have been having a lot of trouble with my Pinpointer and I have gone through three different brands in the past year. Can you please let me know what you use it seems to be accurate and not pick up Signals out of the air. It is black and red and it also looks like one of my Dr Oteck ones I tired.
where the wall ended may once have been wetlands
congratulations ..
That stump wasn't that old. 2 guys on a handsaw wouldn't cut that low. Right? Those rock walls are weird. I've seen cows jump over 4 foot woodpiles when they're spooked, goats love to climb, maybe sheep behave with walls? I think farmers were clearing their properties. And stone walls were "No trespassing alerts" prove me wrong. Rk
And... why would anybody have any coins in their pocket? Your theory's are fucked up.
