Hahahah I was tempted. They had the gall to tell me the order was still coming 😂 and I just insisted to only pay for the coffee and water. They also overcharged me for a small water at €1.20 😤

Have you visited Corfu, Rhodes and Salonika?
I’ve been to Salonica (Thessaloniki) and I loved it!! I haven’t been to Corfu nor Rhodes yet
@UrbanistExploringCities I am fond of Salonika. My grandmother was born there and my grandfather who was born in Turkey, took all her family just 6 days before the nazis took all the Jews from Salonika to Auchwitz. I also love Corfu and Rhodes where we have roots there too. I totally recommend you to visit there.
The tour sounds fab, I’m heading over in September hope it’s still operating then.

I didn’t :/ they told me it was coming, but I insisted to just pay for the coffee and water and I left. Went to get Gelato instead.
@@UrbanistExploringCities If they hadn't the dough ready, 30 minutes is the waiting time for the dough to rise. They should have warned you though. I remembered there was a very good loukoumades maker in Ikaria, like 35 years ago. I wonder if the place is still there.

Breakfast isn't a thing in Greece either. If anything, we have a coffee and a pastry or cookie, same as Italy/Spain/France. Restaurants and bakeries have anything you want.

Very well preserved, I just thought of some miserable people that they traveled to see something amazing and historically important and they were put off by the 5 euro entrance without thinking of how much work have been spent and how many people had to work to make the site to look as good as if was built yesterday
