@@mostdopebabeI went in wanting under eye filler and the esthetician told me that placing filler high on the cheek bone would help with the under eye area. I trusted her and I'm glad I did. I don’t think I will personally ever get any fillers for cosmetic purposes, but I found this super interesting and normal. I know Allegra sometimes gets flack for not coming across as ‘bubbly’ or chatty or whatever in her vlogs, but I like watching because I appreciate her focus, and honesty on things like this, and how she doesn’t shy away from saying she doesn’t like or want something (or vice versa).
I love your energy & transparency in this video and ultimately your ending comment about relaxing about aging. Such a healthy viewpoint. It's a privilege to live & age because think of the alternative. ✨💖

I love the levity of this video, like all your videos honestly. I'm also 31 and really appreciate and reasonate with you sharing how your views have changed over the years- mine most certainly have as well. I got breast implants at 21 and just had them removed this year at 31. I loved them in my 20s and felt great with them but realized last year that they no longer brought me joy and weren't aligned with my current journey. Best decision ever. I've never had Botox or filler but I do a beauty Fascia program and use frownies and have seen unbelievable results for anyone looking to try something less evasive. I'm a mom of 3 and aging hits hard when you transition from the party 6am nights to the mom 6am nights ahahah! I love this real and reflective content, thanks Allegra!
It’s easy to lose sight of what you look like when getting stuff done to your face. People often get carried away. They look in the mirror and can’t tell that they’re starting to look like a different person even if everyone else can see it. And their dr/nurse doesn’t tell them. With that being said I think your lips still look really full still. It’s still obvious that you have lip filler. If it were me I wouldn’t fill them til like next summer at least.
I moved from Europe to Toronto for 8 years and got acne. Never had it before. I tried everything to get rid of it. Nothing ever worked. Just quick fixes. In my 6th year there I stopped drinking the tap water and stopped cooking with the tap water and within a month all my acne was gone and never came back. This stuff is inside out . Thought this might help.
Loved this video and the transparency! You're beautiful! Definitely agree that you start to nit-pick less/care less about the small things as you get older and can start to come to terms that everyone (if they are lucky to live that long) ages and that the things you hyperfixated on growing up are usually not as big a deal as you thought.
Love your video's! I also get facials regularly and when people make comments to me on the price, my response is that people probably spend that much money on alcohol monthly, as I also rarely drink. Happy Holidays!
I do TH-cam as well (obviously in a totally different content area), and we have to look at our faces ALL the time. It can be really tough not to nitpick. But then I remember that when I’m editing, I’m looking at my face a whole lot more than anyone in my audience, so they’re not gonna notice those little things that bother me about it. That brought me a lot of peace with it.
I really appreciated the first part. I have a super round and circular face shape and constantly freak out because I want the more hollow look. Need to just know one day I’ll appreciate it and it’s why I’m turning 26 and people think I’m 20 but right now it can be hard. Will forever love your channel
I love the transparency with what you’ve had done! I feel like it’s the same with finances. Knowledge is power and we should all be talking about these things. PS - you’ve looked amazing in every phase ✨
Botox for my TMJ has changed my life. The mouthguard barely worked and was only at night. My masseters were HUGE too. I looked so swollen all the time and had raging headaches. I canNOT preach Botox for TMJ more.
Yay! Thanks for sharing! ❤️ Recently I’ve done some filler in my face just small amounts at a time and although no one can see a difference I feel great! And I so agree with you about lip flips I think they can look soooooo scary so easily
Thank you soooo much for this, it was so informative (I hadn’t even heard of like half these procedures 😅) I’m 32 and starting to consider moving toward more invasive skincare etc - this video was so helpful, and loved the callout about plastic surgeons vs nurses!
I agree. I get botox in my 11s once a year and I always let it wear-off completely. I personally do not get fillers because they migrate, especially in your lips and you can have filler up to 11 years still in your body, hiding in random places. I never heard of the lip blush...that sounds like a solid alternative. One thing for me is I have hyperhidrosis and I have health coverage to have my under arms botox. However, just an FYI that means I have to have all my botox at once or my body will fight off any I choose to do in-between. So if I do under my arms I have to do my 11s or it won't work. I am surprise you do trap-botox, that shit can have major side effects. I understand why you do it, but I'm way too scared. I have massive neck and shoulder stiffness due to the same anxiety clench. I tense up consistently in that area.
I have TMJ too, and it’s totally bulking up my jawline when I smile. I get really self conscious about it and actually picture Quagmire’s (from Family Guy) smile LOLLL. Good to hear your experience with Botox has helped!
I feel like the lio filler has changed your nose; in a good way. I've always contemplated lip fillers cuz I have a very pouty bottom lip and would love the balance like yours. I'm 45 and started looking into home devices. Been loving the Current Body led mask for face and neck. It has reduced a deep neck line which I'm soooo amazed about. Anyways I think preventative measures are important and wish I started earlier. Btw love your style and you come off very real and down to earth. Love your videos !
thank you for sharing! you are so naturally beautiful you don’t need anything that doesn’t add to you health and will probably have secondary effects later on! with that said, you’re obviously free to do whatever you want and thank you for sharing again
I think most ppl don't need lip filler at all - it can age people a lot and in person often looks ott. Just something for people to remember, some treatments look great online/in photos and not in person
Love this thank you for sharing Alegra!!! Do you happen to know which type of filler is used in your lips? I went to a place that had like 3 options and I had a really hard time knowing which one to pick.
Have you ever thought about implant surgery’s? Chest, bbl etc? Do you feel a lot of pressure being a content creator or being online and kind of having your livelihood more tied to your physical appearance?
you're beautiful with or without the stuff that you've done. as long as you feel good that's what matters. serious question, i'm 34 and have 2 fine lines on my forehead, is it worth exploring botox for that? would it have any long term effects that I would regret?
if they bother you enough then it's worth a consultation! but i cant say. if they dont bother you and you dont feel comfortable, dont feel like you need to 💕
I have TMJ and it is pretty severe, my jaw get stuck sometimes and the pain was so bad it migrates to the ear, head, neck and even the collarbone, there is one time my jaw got stuck for 2 weeks and I almost got deaf in one of my ears, that happened to me years ago and still my ear didn't recover from that pain, I hope yours is not as severe as mine it's just an agony and I can't even afford getting treatment for it 💔.
@@rahmalim1354 so sorry to hear this. I hope it gets better. What country do you live in? If you live in Canada I recommend to see an Ear, Neck and Throat doctor. At least this doctor can figure out what is happening to your ear. But my ent said that my ears are completely fine, but since the TMJ joint is right next to the ear canal, this can affect the ear greatly.
I live in Morocco. I got diagnosed with TMJ years ago. I went to a couple of doctors, and all of them told me I need surgery because my case is very severe and other treatments won't help. My jaw is very stiff and makes a lot of noise and pops when I eat. My movement is very limited, and I avoid anything that may cause dislocation or locking. The reason why it might affect the ear is because the connected nerves and the TMJ are near the auditory canal, so the inflammation in the joint spreads to the ear too. One day, if I can save enough money, I am going to get treatment abroad. I hope you also find treatment and get better ❤️.
