  • I was invited out by a good friend of mine who just purchased a nice boat. So, we set out to go deep dropping for some grouper and tile fish. We ended up catching a slam of fish but we've seen better days.
Josh caught a nice sized amberjack while slinging a cobra jig and got a nice release it.
Then I pulled up one of those big red snapper. Thankfully that fish was able to swim away after all the gas it had.
After a long day of trying numerous coordinates, we called it a day.
We headed out before sunrise, and docked the boat well after sunset.
Tune in to the next video to see my share of fish as well as a catch and cook style video!

Man if that line isn’t peeling off under pressure on your conventional like guitar strings your drag isn’t set high enough lol. Get those first ten reels in and get them off the bottom then slack that drag up to save some line breakage. I can’t wait to buy a tanacom! Looks fun

Ya know- (I'll probably get heat for saying this)- Although I totally dig Inshore/Freshwater, (Reds, Trout, Flounder, LM Bass, Bluegill, Catfish), (IMHO) Offshore tends to be a rich man's game (like Golf). If you've got the right amount of money, you can do Offshore "right" - the right boat, the right electronics, the right rods/reels, Etc. Don't get me wrong, it can be fun, but, the "cost to fun ratio" is sooooooo freakin' HIGH! (lol) If I had millions I'd still prefer creeks, rivers and lakes. WHY? #1. If you have any problems 15-20 miles Offshore, your in trouble! #2. I honestly think it takes more fishing ability/savy to figure out a LM Bass than it does to drop or troll a line Offshore. And it definitely takes more casting ability in Freshwater! Ever seen an Offshore guy skip a 3/8 OZ Jig 6 ft under a dock with a baitcaster? (lol- wink)

False. You have never been on a good offshore trip if you believe this.

Plus these guys don’t seem like they know much of what’s going on. First off if you have enough time to drink a case of beer than your not catching enough....
