Hello heroes of Dominion, here is Zeus again with another hero to analyze. Today's guide is about hero wars new hero Iris. Probably most of you already have tested her skills and it is easy to come to conclusion that Iris is very good hero. In this video we are going to analyze Iris more in depth and will show how to use in battle through best combinations.
We will start this guide with Iris Skills. Power of hero wars Iris we analyze is fully maxed red +2 , fully maxed ascension levels and branch level 44
Expose Soul
Iris exposes an unprotected part of the Soul in the nearest enemy’s body for 13 seconds. All damage taken by the Soul is transferred to its owner as pure damage.
Max health exposed Soul: 912710 (depends on Health)
This skill of Iris is mind blowing, the soul takes full damage from any attack and convert to pure damage. Soul can’t be protected with armor, magic defense or dodge. There no hero than can survive this skill.
The health of created soul can be increased by using Oliver patronage. Oliver adds to Iris 99576 health.
Exposed Soul 912710 / Iris Health 433555 =2.1
Iris health 433555 + Oliver patronage 99576 = 533131
Exposed Soul health 533131 x 2.1 =1119575
Otherworldly Creature
Summons a familiar next to the farthest enemy on the battlefield. The familiar then makes its was back to Iris, biting enemies along the way. Each successful bte deals more damage than the last.
Damage for the first bite 47697 (depends on magic attack)
Each subsequent bite increases damage by 12797 (Depends on magic attack)
Demonic Synergy
Upon returning to Iris, the familiar grants her the Soul Fury charges accumulated by successful attacks, boosting her next basic attack.
Extra damage for each charge: 39976 (Depends on magic attack)
Seed of Destruction
Iris partly absorbs the health of all enemies on the battlefield and conjures a Seed of Destruction. The Seed is then launched at the nearest enemy, dealing physical damage equal to the total health absorbed
Health absorbed from each enemy: 36919 (depends on magic attack)
Iris first artifact
When Iris uses the Expose Soul skill in combat, t can trigger an effect that gives bonus stats to the whole team for 9 seconds. Magic attack +32040
Iris Pet Patronages
Iris can be patronaged by Oliver, Albus and King Biscuit. Iris first skill depends on health, Oliver patronage increases Iris health by +99576 (max developed Oliver).
Iris last 3 skills depends on magic attack both Albus and King Biscuit increase Iris Magic attack by +9957.
Our favorite pet to patronage Iris is Albus because of Albus third skill Pure Victory. Increase Pure Damage dealt by the master. Adds 74.998%
With Albus Iris last skill Sed of Destruction becomes more powerful.
Which Iris Skill is the best one?
In first look Iris first skill Expose Soul look like her best skill, but we figured out with right support Iris best skill actually is her last skill Seed of Destruction.
In test inside Olympus guild we found out that Iris Seed of Destruction skill becomes very powerful and dangerous if supported by Albus patronage and Nebula’s Equilibrium skill. To explain in more detail we will do some math
We need Magic attack to understand how last skill is calculated
Magic attack 106074 x 25% +10400 = 36 918
Now we are going to add patronage addition of magic attack and nebula support
Iris Magic attack 106074 + Albus patronage stat 9957 + Nebula Equilibrium 163275
Total 279306
Now we are going to find out how much pure damage last skill will perform
279306 x 25% + 10400 = 80227 damage per hero
Now we will add Albus third skill Increase Pure Damage dealt by the master. Adds 74.998%
80227 + 74.998%= 140395 damage per hero
Iris attacks 5 heroes with last skill, so 5 x 140 395 = 701975 total pure damage
In this calculation we didn’t add Iris artifact Magic Attack.
This is first part of damage we are not done yet. Iris partly absorbs the health of all enemies on the battlefield and conjures a Seed of Destruction. The Seed is then launched at the nearest enemy, dealing physical damage equal to the total health absorbed
Which mean absorbed 701975 health now launches seed to near enemy dealing physical damage
Total damage from skill 4 is 701975 pure damage and 701975 physical damage
This numbers can be increased if you add to team hero with first artifact magic attack
Seed of Destruction skill physical damage require also armor penetration to one shot any hero with 701975 damage. If first skill is activated Expose Soul there no need for armor penetration.
You may consider to use Martha to speed up Iris skills

My Iris is very low power (~50k) but managed to take down maxed Aurora opponent very quickly, which was impossible to do without Iris by using my team. My team was Aurora Cheleste Nebula Orion Iris against Aurora Markus Cheleste Sebastian Martha (heavy healing team). She is great hero, and your video explain very good how great she is. I may say also something else about Iris. Against maxed meta teams or fast attacking teams I suggest to use Oliver as her patronage due to her low health/Armor as per new hero and no other skins except her main skin. So Oliver will keep her alive long enough. ( examples fighting against Karkh teams or Keria blenders or Keria Nebula... ) Against those team Iris will be much vulnerable without Oliver patronage. But anyways that depending on what teams we are using Iris, but I just said that because not everyone can have available all heroes at high power. So using right pets in different scenarios it will be helpful 🙂

Hey Zeus, do you think your opinions of Iris have changed since this video? In regards to her development would enhancing her health skin/glyph be beneficial with respect to Expose Soul or would less health be better for more frequent skill activation? Keep up the great videos
Most tanks health is arpund 1-1.M health. Until iris expose soul they have lost at least 20% of their health which mean expose sount to be 900-950k would be enough. Increase health until you see this numbers
i dont understand: higher health for exposed soul means more damage possibly being transferred as pure damage?

I came here because I'm having trouble with my Iris and no one seems to have this issue but me. Seed of Destruction does not work as it says when I use it. When my Iris uses it, what happens is it deals 1% of the total Pure damage it's supposed to do total to each individual enemy. Then the seed conjured basically has no damage to do. But sometimes my Iris randomly deals ALL the damage it's supposed to do to the entire group of enemies to a single enemy, PLUS 1% of the total to the other 4 enemies.
Enemy Irises work correctly. When I fight Iris in the Tower her Seed of Destruction is a one hit kill.
Even if I try Max testing, and I still don't get the results shown here. Do I need to contact support? What can they even do?

@@Olympushw Actually... someone on Discord just informed me that even though it doesn't say so, the skill works like Titan Elemental damage... so it's damage scales based on Iris's Seed of Destruction skill level compared to her opponents level level. It doesn't say that so I didn't know that, and no one who describes the move adds that informative tidbit!
When will Iris be easier to get? I keep usually the daily thing for heroes no luck

It would be helpful to know how strong Martha is. Since she needs to be built up for Guild raids, does she get too strong to work well in the Arena, GA & GW?
martha dont have to be super strong to perform good in arena and Ga Gw

Nice guide . About first skill it says it exposes x amount of health of heroe . Is x the total amount of dmg that can be done to the soul and transfered as pure dmg to the heroe for all attacks done on the soul or is it the maximum amount of dmg that can be done in a single attack on the soul ? From what i have tested with a 35k Iris with expose health 270k i am pretty sure i could do more then 270k damage in total to the soul and 270k would be the max dmg for a single attack but i am not 1OO% sure
it is total damage done from more attacks, there is cooldown how long last exposure of soul, during that time every attacks goes as pure damage
One question, the blue skill said that: "the familiar grants her the Soul Fury charges accumulated by successful attacks" so that means if the monster succesfully bite 5 enemies heroes , iris will get 5 Soul Fury charges?
Those are charges in energy. Every successful bite increase her energy bar. Increasing energy bar result on her using first skill faster

First calculation at 1:47 is incorrect, not sure why they didn't use the correct formula like later in the video
what is the right formula?
In-game the base value isn't displayed but you could reverse calculate it or find it in the wiki or in hwcalc's calculators
Primary formula: 200% Hp + Skill level * 350 + 100
433555 * 2 + 130 * 350 + 100 = 912 710
533131 * 2 + 130 * 350 + 100 = 1 111 862 (which is pretty close to what you already had)
i got formula for skill 4 from wiki, but few days ago there was no formula for skill 1 so i had to come out with my own formula. thank you for let us know the right formula and total health
