Holy Christ the music at the beginning is so goddam loud. AirPlay'd it to my TV and it blew my ears out and I was fumbling to grab the remote to turn it the fuck down. Of course, when your voice comes in, I can't hear a word. Watch your videos back before posting bro. Otherwise good video of an amazing car
I bought an SR5 model 5 month ago. Leg room was a deciding factor. I'm 6'4" and finding a vehicle that is half way comfortable is very difficult for me. My 4Runner has more leg room than most othet vehicles although I wish the seat moved back another 3 inches and the steering wheel could be brought back another 5 inches. It's a wishful dream but unfortunately nothing is made to fit tall people comfortably. I love the suspension in this vehicle. It rides and handles very well. Roads are terrible in South Carolina and I prefer to run all tires at 28 PSI. Lower tire pressure greatly improves ride quality and center feel at higher speeds. I don't care if tires last 20 k miles. I want to switch to Michelins ASAP. Gas mileage is worse than advertised. I only get about 18 MPG highway and 15 MPG city (tire pressure 5 PSI below recommended makes no difference in gas mileage. I tested it numerous times on all my vehicles). I was not looking for a 4x4 vehicle as I already have a nice 4x4 Grand Cherokee. My 4Runner came with a cheap Part Time only transfer case. It's good enough for me but I would only get a model with a Full Time/Part Time transfer case option if we had to drive in snowy conditions a lot. We only get snow maybe once per year and it melts within a few days. Full Time 4x4 system cannot be driven on an asphalt roads with good traction. With the 4x4 engaged its almost impossible to make a U-turn on dry pavement. Full Time 4x4 capable system is a must if you plan on driving in winter snowy conditions. Other than that I'm fairly happy with my purchase.
I meant to say that a PART TIME system is very hard to drive on a dry pavement when engaged. Obviously its not needed i good weather but I have tl disengage 4x4 when oulling into a salt treated parking lot so I can maneuver the vehicle without having to apply a lot of force into a steering wheel to make a sharp turn.
Ray_Biker i had a bad experience with the part time, so I traded it with the full time. With your gas mileage, I think it's because of your tire pressure coz u said that you only applied 28 psi in it.
I agree. I have a 2004 4Runner Sport with the 4.7 liter V-8, and it still runs like new. If they do put another V-8 in the 4Runner, they will probably use the same 4.6 liter that's currently used in the Lexus GS. I hope they also add adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and blind-spot warning.
Zachary Zarko I think they won't apply too much luxury in it coz it would get more expensive, that it would be so impractical that you'd rather go up into a sequioa. Considering that 4runner is 100% made in japan. With my 2016 limited, i got it for $47995 with 3rd row seats, without power running boards, but i had it installed with the aftermarket one. With more accessories that you suggested, it could go up to more than $50k and that's way to high already. Just get a land cruiser or lexus instead.
+George Musa yeah for familys.. too big if you're serious off roading...it will be hard to fit and get through things in a tahoe... the 4RUNNER is not too big or too small
+Toyota Avanza the eco mode is not a true eco mode, all it does it basicly tell you if your stepping on the peddle to hard lol. the limited 4runner is either RWD or full time 4wd.
bobby u then my thoughts of a new crv Eco were also not true then, if America weren't strict of euro emissions, Toyota will slap a Diesel engines for 4Runner
+Silver 07FA5 the 5spd in this is tough and reliable. rumor has it they might be coming out with a manual 4runner, Now I would love that in a 6MT, still I'm happy with my runner only had it a few months tho. Moved around like a tank during the blizzard we had here in NY. neighbors were still digging out their BMW'S and Mercedes lol gotta love that cent diff lock and A-TRAC in 4Lo didn't have to shovel, STILL I wish the limited didn't come with All seasons. Such a narrow rim at only 7" their are basicly no off-road ish tires available for this.Have seen ppl put on 275-55-20 on it tho stock is 245/60/20
The base model BMW X5 with AWD starts at $57,800. The Toyota Limited loaded with options starts at $42,000, and the 4Runner has more room. If you want a fast car, get a Porsche 911 Turbo S. If you want a reliable 4-wheel drive SUV, get a 4Runner.
I hate the front grill on the 4Runner. Toyota has ruined the look of this SUV. The lines are no longer smooth, the headlights and tail light stick out from the body and the interior is very basic compared to it's direct competitors the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Ford Explorer. Not sure why Toyota put the window controls up on the top ledge. It belongs at the arm rest which is where every other SUV manufacturer put them. The limited has a piece of Chrome going through that grill to make it look ( Ok ) but it's not worth spending a few thousand dollars extra for this. Very disappointed
This suv is a joke. its 2 wheel drive. I have Atrac And DAC option on my limmited. this isnt limmited. i also have awd abd 3rd row and sunroof with adjustabe drive train with hi, mid, and low gear.
+Bryan Simms If the deciding factor is a lift-gate, you shouldn't be looking at a 4runner anyways; you obviously don't get the point of this vehicle....
+Bryan Simms you're comparing a body-on-frame off-road legend that's been around since the 80's to a mediocre unibody crappy Pilot over the ability to press a button to open the liftgate. Laziness at it's finest, Jesus.
just an amazing SUV. I had my Limited since August of 2015 and appreciate its confort, performance and looks. Great in the snow up here in Canada !
I'm looking at a pre owned one not sure which trim to get. how many miles does your 4runner have, still enjoying it?

yo, i appreciate you explaining what Toyota is. Im sure everyone would of been totally lost.
it needs the v8 engine, bring it back Toyota
+billthestinker Yep, that's the 1 thing id want ...aside from moving the power window switch
Amen.

Great detailed review
Great job. Thank you
Tahoe is the king

Not perfect for my family. I may be a single mom of one, but all we do is off roading, dirt biking, camping and hiking! 2 girls on a mission. :)
This doesn't compete with the Tahoe, the Sequoia does
My mom have one is blizzard pearl
Dose the rear windows come tinted from the factory ?
Can you get the SR5 Fabric seats on a Limited 4Runner as an option?
Nope
are the head lights for 2016 white-ish led or still yellowish?? and any news on complete redesign 2017?
I hate the white headlights. I like the older ones cuz they're red. I hope they're redesigned soon.
не газуй на холодный движок! не твоя и все?
I think the 4Runner get 17city and 22 highway?
+Dj Wheaton theyre are eco modes and power modes. depends on these

That's coming in the 6th gen 4Runner
Beautiful suv. I just wish these foreigners stopped trying to impress Americans w all that chrome. Chrome stopped being. Cool in 2008.
It is not just foreigners, look at the F150 platnium or limited, or any of the Lincoln vehicles or any premium american brand.
mg l premium haha your words are premium
Can black it out.
So the dealer has leblanc xD it like Annie Leblanc

No Power Liftgate, Might as well buy a Pilot
+Bryan Simms Can always be added as an option ;)
+HappyRider2011 no it cant
