Here is the solution to the lore. Have 1-2 battle passes a year that are massive. (150 levels) and have each year have a narrative thing happen either based around introducing a new clan or map. About to download again on ps5 since I’ve seen a few ppl in the comments saying match making isn’t too long. One of the main reasons I stopped playing was because matchmaking was like 10-20 minutes long and when I did get into a game the majority were bots
I played this when it first came out, absolutely loved it,beautiful graphics, great setting, great depth, the only issue i found was it could have done with more tutorials, or a way to ease you into it a bit,i did a few bot games (pretty sure they were anyway) and held my own, even won a match, then boom...you drop into "real" matches and could barely take two steps without getting massacred,i feel there should be more options to practice or a solo, mission based, mode or something to help you get to grips with it all as it got frustrating as you had no time or chance to "get good" (in the parlance of our time)
@@MotionGaming I'm glad they improved it,this was at launch on the ps5,it definitely felt like being dropped in at the deep end,and I was pretty experienced at other BR's and could get W's in those,it's a shame bloodhunt is winding down as it was fun and a different spin on the format
I really like Bloodhunt. The only reason I didn't play it more before is because on controller you couldn't adjust your deadzone or aim acceleration but they added more controller options at some point. It's a shame the player count is dwindling, it's got a free 100 tier battle pass going on right now and I feel like more people would try it again if they knew that.
one day I played 7 games in a row and out of them 4 time got killed by cheater then alt f4 I still go back to play again sometime but it takes so long for matchmakig
I just found out about this game a little over a week ago. Love it! Told Friends and now they downloaded it. I have not found one issue with it. I say it just was not advertised well. I just thought it was top down RPG Vampire game.
It’s so dumb they stopped development on it when it was only ever available on ps5 and PC. I didn’t see anything about this for agessss and only just got it when I got a ps5, it has so much potential
Among that, cheaters, “pro players” with aimbot pretending to be super duper gamers. And of course, skilled players who don’t leave a chance for newbies to get better in game. They should have set a bot-only mode for people to train and understand the basics, instead of a one way training they made.
New players go through a number of matches agains mainly bots until they level up a bit which helps. The bulk of the issue was that there are not enough people to match with.
i have a GTX 1650ti and a ryzen 7 4800, and the game runs perfectly fine, no bugs, no performance issues, none of that, it's sad to see such a great game die off just because of such minor issues, but then again, this is only the studio's 1st or 2nd game I think, so it's understandable
I have not witnessed any of the issues you name in this video, ive only been playing since the beginning of March cuz thats when i for my PS5. I really wish they wouldn't give ip on it tbh.
@@damadhattahttv After having played over 3k+ matches, I can safely say I have only met around 2-3 cheaters at best, and I can't even guarantee they were cheaters. I played the game on SEA/ Asia

This for me was legit a spiritual succesor to GunZ. They may not be that similar, but the feel I got from this game really reminded me of playing GunZ. Sad to see it die..
I just recently started playing the game on pc and I honestly love the game. I think its extremely underrated and don't notice many problems atm. Perhaps they have updated the game sense? im not sure.. But Ive played 12.9 hours as of 2-10-2024 and I think its totally worth playing. It has a free battle pass with cosmetics that are really good you even get free store credits in the battle pass for the store which is not something ive seen anywhere else. there also seems to be no time limit for doing it, so you can do it at your leisure. Can't really comment about how it would be on controller but Ive always found mouse and keyboard easier for games with high movement shooters. Happy Hunting.. I'm hoping others join me in playing. Finding a match seems to be pretty fast most of the time. With occasional issues of maybe switching game modes to make it faster. Noticeably... Duos Battle royale was the fastest for me Team deathmatch was a close second and Trios Battle royale I have not tried the solo mode yet. Game still seems to be alive enough to enjoy but small enough that I worry about them shutting it down over time if the player base does not improve. Currently I think the game is totally worth playing tho.
Is this game really done releasing updates ? I only ask because I just started playing this may . I thought it would be stupid and cheesy like most vampire games are but I actually quite enjoy this game. I feel like most ppl don't have a ps5 yet and there for the game got a bad shake. I litteraly just played this game with my family last night and 2/3 of my brothers are buying a ps5 just to play this game now and the other is downloading it on steam ... who do I message to bag them not to give up on it just yet ?
Bugs ruined a lot of players first time experience with the game. The little-to-no transparency on content/updates for the game didn't help either and also throw in the fact anyone who was part of the ambassadorship (Inner Circle) knew about future plans yet were held to NDAs, therefore trying to get players excited for an update but can only say "COMING SOON" does more damage than good. The games performance always ran like shit no matter what they did so no surprise there. The PS5 exclusivity actually helped the game more than people realize especially given the fact the game was sponsored on the PS home page and the store as well. For the gameplay balancing it's really weird that at one point it was a top priority, and they even took feedback into consideration yet when the Enforcer arrived all that went out the window for some unexplained reason. However, even with all that said Bloodhunt is a hard game to market even if it was in a good spot, so technically no matter what they did for this game it would have died out at some point before it could rival against one of the Big 3 (Apex, WZ, Fortnite).
Do you know any games with similar movement or shooting? I just feel like i ain’t gonna see a game like bloodhunt for a while, the concept was perfect just seemed rushed with no testing. It had so much potential honestly and I’d love to play a game similar to this.
Such a ret@rded comment. You literally have the potential to keep this game going and to bring it back alive, and you're just gonna toss it out the window. If you enjoy the mechanics so much, then go back to the game and continue to play it. Ride it with the community that's there, and help it grow, and thus, having the development start back up in order to continue on with updates
Just want to point out that OW does nothing of the sorts. The point is to "get to know" the new hero, and a few weeks later they will release it to competitive, there is no history of them changing anything substantially to actually rebalance a hero after he's been added, whether they are allowed or not in competitive, that time was enough time to evaluate if the hero is worth it or if the hero is crap and nobody should use it. Point in case, Lifeweaver is useless even after the slight buff they added one season after he was added. Even when there was a public test and you could download, test and play the hero a month before public release, they barely chanced any new hero, usually just placed them to see if the intended abilities worked, not to actually balance the hero, the results were usually stupid... the worst being Brigitte.
I think they made a good first Vampire the Masquerade game for Battle Royal players but not a good first Battle Royal game for Vampire the Masquerade fans. They had a ready made influx of players with the I.P. but the promised "Skill based match making" seemed either pretty broken or barely functional at best. Almost everyone I know who played it because they liked VtM and not because they liked to play BR games stopped after a few days or a week or so at most. Seems like they didn't have enough players to really pull that off. I bailed before Death Matches came in. Seems like that might have been a better game mode for casual or new players but I can't say as I never tried it. Sadly I think for most B.R. players there were just bigger more popular options and for most VtM fans it was an exercise in frustration that wasn't worth the time to develop a higher skill level in.
Great video. Game had a ton of potential but they shot themselves in the foot by having crossplay between console/PC on by default. Console had no aim assist and MnK reigned, it wasn’t fair and scared console players off.
Even the most average MnK players could dominate the entire lobby. You turn crossplay off as a console player and it took infinite time to find matches. It was game suicide. First month is crucial and they failed.
Yea the game is good but the developers didn’t work in it for a wile cause they have been working on a VR I think so after there done the game is going to get lots of updates I believe so all we need is patients
In my opinion there was only one big reason why the game felt off and it was the missing Ranked mode in the beginning. In this though BR market you just have to encourage people to play this game. Especially in this fast living gaming industry in which we are living actually....
I mean one thing that would've helped them is making the game available for ps4 and xbox one/ X like why would you half ass a game then only release it for two types of systems only..
I really liked the game, but i've been forcing to quit, becauce i got falsely accused of cheating. Now i'm banned and the support won't tell me in detail on what I did. Pissed AF💩
I guarantee you, add cross play and everything will be ok. Recently just got my ps5 2-3 months back and this was one of the first games I downloaded. Only thing I have a problem with is It takes a minute to find a game. As far gameplay, graphics, cosmetics, ect. One of the best BR games I played. Then on top you get different archetypes of vampire factions with abilities also with the ability to folly customize your character.
the game didn't die at all, a friend of mine played it and said there was a lot of people and he loved it but recommend to play it as a team and not in solo.
Honestly, I would rather have a vampire game that doesn't shove a bunch of unnecessary supernatural "abilities" down your throat. Just give them super strength, speed, reflexes, and senses. Oh yeah, and AN INSATIABLE THIRST FOR BLOOD. 😈
This game can be revived if anyone knows the history of the current Rainbow 6 game. Its literally had a whole year of gameplay and bug fixes now look at that game still going off all these years. So it can happen ohh yea dont let me forgive how PUBG had its moments so ikno it can be done just need dedication
I've heard of the game since it was first announced. Being a fan of World of Darkness, I always looking for more games from the universe. It's a bit of a difficult situation; because things that the role-playing fans would be interested to see isn't things that BR shooter player will be interested in for the most part. And vice versa. So the dev, with their limited resources, need to focus on one. And it feels like they focused on the BR Shooter. Which I personally also agree that it's a good choice, even as a role-playing fan. Because people like me will stay for the flavor even if it's not the genre we're used to. WoD has quite a cult following after all. Hell, we still like Bloodline even though, objectively speaking, the gameplay on that one is pretty horrid. Sadly, all the gameplay related issues that they struggled to deal with means that shooter fans(that they need) will move on to other game that provides better experience. This is just my view on it; from the perspective of someone who is more of an WoDRPG fan and not a BR Shooter fan.
Pretty much what pulled me away from the game as well. It was an okay game, fun at times even, but not the fan base or setting to make a game of this genre in. Unfortunately the scale of something like this is easier to achieve than a true RPG or adventure title that the WoD setting more readily demands, and so it seems to be what they settled for in hopes of having a comparatively quick return investment with a live service game based on repetitive matchmaking on a single map rather than any kind of narrative driven story to get people invested in like the setting typically lends itself too with all of its nuance. The game had a lot of promise, but some bad experiences with the Sharkmob devs earlier on always left a bad taste in my mouth with their intentions for the IP.
And by the way, twitubers should also be more loyal instead of pretending the kings of frag) If there would be people who eager to follow the activity to bring audience to the game, and may be that would change the decision of devs to close it, I am definitely in. BH was the only game in years that I want to play more and more, even forgiving bugs and flaws.
This game was so fun in the beginning but Enforcer or whatever his name was, was one of the most unbalanced things in a video game ever. That character and the atrocious ranked system was what made me uninstall
Hmmm ... What killed BH was the MASSIVE hacker problem (you never mention that at all?) and the company's ignorante insistance on having forced crossplay, and the MASSIVE problems derived from that fact.
Many games have huge issues with hackers but the game is able to survive anyway. While this was a major issue, it's not the biggest in terms of people leaving, especially at launch. As for crossplay, PS5 have ALWAYS had the option to opt in or out of crossplay.
So basically, they took the combat aspect of bloodlines 2, and made a game out of it, much like they did with the social aspect of BL2, and made swansong. And apparently, did a pretty poor job of both, despite later improvments to BH. God, I hope they dont do this to BL2, itself.
@@MotionGaming Also, who the heck plays a shooter with a controller? Everybody knows keyboard and mouse is the far superior option for that kind of stuff.
Game died from atrocious matchmaking which scares casuals and hinders any growth the playerbase could have. Then the neckbeard crowd, that doesn't has common sense and has the same real life awareness that an infant, demands more and more content ("like Fortnite") not wondering who is going to fund it with a playerbase of 400 guys in the hardest on newcomers game on the market. Realistically, serious SBMM should have been there since the beginning when you still had a player base, to begin with. There is a good reason why successful BR (Fortnite, Apex Legends, CoD) have all VERY strict SBMM and it doesn't take a genious to grasp it. But no, they choose to follow the Spellbreak route. Finally, they implement SBMM when the game is already in it's last legs and even then it manages to stage somewhat of a comeback. Yet they change course again burying it once and for all.
SBMM has been in the game since the early access and worked pretty well during the short period where we had enougv players for it to chose from, and even went through some improvements over the following months, but the main issue was the lack in players causing the SBMM to not have enough choices and being forced to match the good players with *someone*. Bots helped a ton with this issue but realistically it was already too late.
@@MotionGaming And don't take what I said in my post as personally aimed at you. It was not, It's just that I cannot bear some beyond absurd attitudes. Like those of people that mocked new players for asking for SBMM and now are begging to people to play their favourite game because it's dying. I like you and generally found those of your videos I watched entertaining and educative, even if we won't agree on this.
@@MotionGaming As for the rushed launching, I blame that on the Chinese more than on them. Can't be that dumb. That's what happens when you depend on other people's money. And they should not be blamed for what they really don't have any kind of control on.
No, friend. The real reason is that nobody asked for this game. The VTM fanbase didn't want it, and a battle royale game was never gonna succeed at roping in a more "mainstream" audience. It's the usual stupid executive choice to seek "broader appeal".
I disagree. A movement shooter is sorely lacking in today's market and Bloodhunt had huge potential to take that spot! Sure, VTM didn't ask for it, but it could have done better without the VTM tag IMO
No it dead because when the game was popping off they didn't open the ps5 servers they waited till the game was dying gthen it got it slowly started getting popular again they should have made xbox servers
Ps5 servers were live when the game launched. It had a small beta phase on PC a few months before to help finish the game. Sony had the console exclusive so no xbox.
There are of course many other factors that all contributed to the games death, including cheaters, false spyware accusations, skill gap and more.

I just started to play today and fell in love instantly honestly prefer to play this vampire game than modern warfare 2 honestly it’s way more fun also free battle pass …. Yea this games a W idc
Started playing a week ago. Have no issue with it .
About to download again on ps5 since I’ve seen a few ppl in the comments saying match making isn’t too long. One of the main reasons I stopped playing was because matchmaking was like 10-20 minutes long and when I did get into a game the majority were bots
TDM can still have long matchmaking, but solos and duos are alright!
I play no problem and prob the best BR with the most genuine fun right now
Not to mention a lot of people turn away from it due to its naturally harder difficulty when compared to more casual BRs
also true! A better onboarding process was needed!
I played this when it first came out, absolutely loved it,beautiful graphics, great setting, great depth, the only issue i found was it could have done with more tutorials, or a way to ease you into it a bit,i did a few bot games (pretty sure they were anyway) and held my own, even won a match, then boom...you drop into "real" matches and could barely take two steps without getting massacred,i feel there should be more options to practice or a solo, mission based, mode or something to help you get to grips with it all as it got frustrating as you had no time or chance to "get good" (in the parlance of our time)
The tutorials have gotten better but for sure the onboarding whas terrible for new players 😅
@@MotionGaming I'm glad they improved it,this was at launch on the ps5,it definitely felt like being dropped in at the deep end,and I was pretty experienced at other BR's and could get W's in those,it's a shame bloodhunt is winding down as it was fun and a different spin on the format
I started playing it on PS5 about couple months ago I can’t wait to start playing it again so much fun idk why it’s dying
A free bpass ain't gonna save a dead game
one day I played 7 games in a row and out of them 4 time got killed by cheater then alt f4 I still go back to play again sometime but it takes so long for matchmakig
Yeah many of the issues have been solved or mostly so at this point, but it's unfortunately too late...
@@MotionGaming Yeah that's true smh I'm still a bit sad cuz I do enjoy the game. Great video by the way 👍🏻
Biggest thing was the hacking problem became overwhelming for the small dev team.
For sure cheaters were an issue, but other games also suffer from cheaters and are successful so I didn't include it here.
In one thousand games, you can get at best 1 or 2 cheaters. That was NOT the issue for the fail.
@@yunsha9986 those are interesting stats the game was great you all are naive to think otherwise.
@@damadhattahttv After having played over 3k+ matches, I can safely say I have only met around 2-3 cheaters at best, and I can't even guarantee they were cheaters. I played the game on SEA/ Asia
this games amazing still
Of course the only br game I love will get closed down
It's not really dead, there are so many people still playing it
People are still playing but with limited content to come it's only a matter of time.
I've mostly only ran into bots
Just started playing this game on ps5 smh hate that it’s not going to keep getting worked on , really enjoy it
I liked the game when I first played it and thought it was unique but I stopped playing it not too long after because every game was sweaty as hell even with cross play turned off. And before someone tries to call me a casual I’m not a casual or a try hard I’m somewhere in the middle.
So we arent getting a second tremere? Bro i love this game and wanted to see what they did with the other one 😭😭😭
I played this when it came it hadn’t had time to play it just downloaded game is still awesome
Is it even active nowadays bc last time I download it I couldn’t even find a game but I see players running around the lobby
Really annoying its still not on Xbox 😭 i suppose theres no reason now tho. The sony exclusivity ended by the time the Devs discontinued updates so no point now 😭 Great video btw it had so much potential
This for me was legit a spiritual succesor to GunZ. They may not be that similar, but the feel I got from this game really reminded me of playing GunZ. Sad to see it die..
The amount of comments I had about gunZ when it released was insane!
Looked in to some gameplay and it looks like an inspiration for sure!
Duos Battle royale was the fastest for me
Team deathmatch was a close second
and Trios Battle royale
I have not tried the solo mode yet.
Yeah they stopped development :/ It's been in the gutters for almost a year now...
Ironically it was the best Masquerade game to come out since Bloodlines
Game is pretty good now, the only bug I see now is the shooting desync.
Been playing for two months now got a 15 kill game so close for a 20 bomb..
Good luck!
I remember when it released and the devs left for vacation for 3 months.
Some devs were on summer vacation yes, but that's normal. They don't work 24/7
I couldn’t run it till now 😢 and I love this game.
Hey! Thank you for this.
Do you know any games with similar movement or shooting? I just feel like i ain’t gonna see a game like bloodhunt for a while, the concept was perfect just seemed rushed with no testing. It had so much potential honestly and I’d love to play a game similar to this.
Bloodhunt really is something else with the movement unfortunately...
Next closest thing is Apex Legends I guess
i recommend Naraka: Bladepoint it has very similar movement and is Free to play
@@Twicepunk thanks bro
They just need to release it on other platforms with crossplay and it’ll be great
just installed it the other day 😂 feels weird being new to a dead game but i hope it comes back
I think they made a good first Vampire the Masquerade game for Battle Royal players but not a good first Battle Royal game for Vampire the Masquerade fans.
For me it’s the lack of a ranked mode, leaderboard and tournaments.
These were all things at one point but were removed due to lack of players. Balance and other reasons didn't help at the time.
Console has always had aim assist, just to varying degrees of power, but for sure it should have had input based matchmaking.
Yea the game is good but the developers didn’t work in it for a wile cause they have been working on a VR I think so after there done the game is going to get lots of updates I believe so all we need is patients
Good luck holding your breath!
In my opinion there was only one big reason why the game felt off and it was the missing Ranked mode in the beginning. In this though BR market you just have to encourage people to play this game. Especially in this fast living gaming industry in which we are living actually....
The game launched with a ranked mode. The problem was, no one was playing it, so queue times were terrible and it made others drop the mode too.
I mean one thing that would've helped them is making the game available for ps4 and xbox one/ X like why would you half ass a game then only release it for two types of systems only..
Releasing an unfinished product on more platforms and spreading the devs even thinner wont ever help.
I really liked the game, but i've been forcing to quit, becauce i got falsely accused of cheating. Now i'm banned and the support won't tell me in detail on what I did. Pissed AF💩
Generally support won't give out details because it allows cheaters to counter detection. Unlucky.
also i love when i put 500dmg+ into the enemy but still alive and almost kill me
How did it fail smfh
i know they didnt meet their goals but this gem died out too soon :((
Invisibility never Ever should have been a thing
I guarantee you, add cross play and everything will be ok. Recently just got my ps5 2-3 months back and this was one of the first games I downloaded. Only thing I have a problem with is It takes a minute to find a game. As far gameplay, graphics, cosmetics, ect. One of the best BR games I played. Then on top you get different archetypes of vampire factions with abilities also with the ability to folly customize your character.
depressing to see such a jem die.
THERE WAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL
Is it hard to find matches now?
Solos and duos still have a 2m30 queue time cap, trios are at 8m and as for TDM, I haven't tried recently
the game didn't die at all, a friend of mine played it and said there was a lot of people and he loved it but recommend to play it as a team and not in solo.
It's 90% bots now, but it has a small dedicated fan base.
The developers have dropped it, it's not veing revived.
The game had a lot of promise, but some bad experiences with the Sharkmob devs earlier on always left a bad taste in my mouth with their intentions for the IP.
packet loss in this game is so bad and its not even me
Server issues have plagued the game throughout the last few years
I’m still trying to figure out how to switch my buttons on ps5
You have to go into your console settings and change the bindings there
And by the way, twitubers should also be more loyal instead of pretending the kings of frag) If there would be people who eager to follow the activity to bring audience to the game, and may be that would change the decision of devs to close it, I am definitely in. BH was the only game in years that I want to play more and more, even forgiving bugs and flaws.
Yeah I've played through the flaws too, but content creators love numbers and this game just doesn't give them that unfortunately
I still enjoy the game but I’ve had problem getting storage down on my console 😂🤦♂️ so haven’t been able to play in a while
aah surely you can find 20GB? :)
@@MotionGaming done it now of course but, was in process of making a video need to delete a lot more of my clips ahaa
I’m gonna need a refresher just done all the updates gonna be on tonight 😂
So sad 😿
I kindly wanted to remind everyone that vtm is cursed sadly
So basically, they took the combat aspect of bloodlines 2, and made a game out of it, much like they did with the social aspect of BL2, and made swansong.
And apparently, did a pretty poor job of both, despite later improvments to BH.
God, I hope they dont do this to BL2, itself.
Why it Died: It has fuck all to do with anything Masquerade related. Pretty much slapping the name onto a vampire BR.
Some decisions were made to stay within the IP but were bad for the BR, so it would have contributed at least a portion.
@@MotionGaming Also, who the heck plays a shooter with a controller? Everybody knows keyboard and mouse is the far superior option for that kind of stuff.
Not dead still active n fun but interesting points
Sure, still technically active, but with development stopped and players slowly leaving, it's only a matter of time.
@@MotionGaming Yeah, but one that is a joke. If it worked you won't have loads of threads in Reddit complaining on it being a sweatfeast from week 1.
Very high skill ceiling + no strict SBMM = poison to casuals = tiny playerbase = no funding = no resorces = death.
Got the game few days back and bro shi is fire lol
oh yeah it's hella fun! :)
@MotionGaming yeah I'm a saboteur main def a fun character
Loved that game
Making a live service exclusive gotta be the dumbest decision ever
it has it's ups and downs
12:20 no mention of PUBG?
Is it died tho? I just started playing and have had no issue finding a match
Not dead yet, but it's days are numbered. Enjoy it while you can!
Sure, VTM didn't ask for it, but it could have done better without the VTM tag IMO
sooo is it worth to download now ?
it's free and has a 100 tier free battle pass included! Try it before it's gone :)
If this game came more like Destiny instead of a bloody BR, it would have been successful!
No it dead because when the game was popping off they didn't open the ps5 servers they waited till the game was dying gthen it got it slowly started getting popular again they should have made xbox servers
Ps5 servers were live when the game launched. It had a small beta phase on PC a few months before to help finish the game. Sony had the console exclusive so no xbox.
they nerfed the fuck outta my character and that made me stop playing
Fair
who?
Great video
Thanks 😁
Game belongs on Xbox.
They need to create more maps
