      During winter it can be a challenge because of low heat units . But in greenhouses it’s possible

    • @mbatatisimbatatisi8335
      @mbatatisimbatatisi8335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@agribusinesswithwadzanaima275 Onions are a winter crop. no need for a greenhouse at all. actually most hybrid onions grown in Zimbabwe are short day varieties. What it means is that they bulb during a period when day hours are shorter than night hours. those are winter conditions. if you transplant such varieties after July they may not bulb. Currently only one summer variety called Goblin is being grown in Zimbabwe and the seeds are a bit expensive. all other varieties are winter varieties.

      @@abelcmutsvairo3129 and you will remain a broomstick, like your surname. 😅. Because, West Africans from Nigeria and Ghana who claimed to be refugees from Zimbabwe during the Mugabe era , got rejected in Germany because of their recorded accents. I read personally, why in there rejection letters. Main reason was Zimbabweans don't pronounce words like that. I speak Shona, English, and German.
