When Siri said this is the best Thai basil restaurant, it means the food is definitely very very very very delicious. Definitely adding this to my food places to enjoy when I go to Bangkok, and I’m going to tell them I watched Siri on TH-cam. And good to see you cameraman, I’m so glad you joined Siri on her food journey in Thailand 😊
Oh my gosh, it looks so good!!! I like to watch Mark too. So cool you got to go to his restaurant. I don't know if you have heard of Lilly's Life TH-cam channel. She is an American that lives in Thailand and I think her husband Wat is from the same city as you are from.
Yes, I watch their videos too. He is from a different state than I am from though. I was born in Phetchaburi (City), Phetchaburi (State)... like being from New York city in New York State... but her husband is from the state of Chumphon. it's two states south of my state, within Thailand.
Are all the pad krapao taste the same regardless what protein? Or are they slightly different? I'm curious about the squid. Can you do a recipe for the squid pad krapao?
They all are different, but have the same flavor profile of stir fried basil. But they are all very uniqly different. I would like to do that recipe too, maybe soon ♥
Not sure if you guys are still there but you have to go for duck and moo dang at my favourite restaurant. It’s right across the street from Robinson department store, cross road and walk towards Pat Pong and ask anyone along the street where the best duck is. About 200 meters down the road.
I am home now! Just got back last week and spent a few days recovering from jet lag. Already planning my new recipe video to shoot this week. I got so inspired by all the great food I had on vacation.
If I go there , I have to bring chicken egg. I'm not a big fan of duck eggs. I need to order some extra extra rice It would be great if you and Mark can do street food together
yes, that would be great. we tried to do it this time, but he was out of the country when we were there. hopefully next time we are in bangkok, we can meet up with him and Ying.
I know what I will do in Bangkok in 3 weeks. Krapao time. As a farang who has some experience with both eating, and cooking Asian food I think it's important to remind foreigners this: Heat levels in Thailand are different than in the west. If you are used to ordering hot in the west, try medium in Thailand. If you can't handle the heat at all, ask for no chilli.
Very smart comment, thank you. It's true, if you ask for hot in Thailand thinking that you will be OK becuase you eat spicy food in in your home country, you might be in for a very big surprise. There's hot and then theres "Thai Hot". Good luck and have fun in Thailand.
Es gibt einfach nix besseres als thai food, yummiiee yummiiee.
Ich könnte mich jedes Mal klitschnass heulen, wenn ich wieder nach Hause muss

Did you move back home.
No, just a 2-month holiday. Back in the USA since yesterday.
Can you put a link in your description to the location of this restaurant? Thank you.

@@SpoonForkHeart okay, wonderful!! Looking forward to it!
Looks so delicious! I definitely couldn't handle the super spicy though. 🥵💕
Me neither. At first I thought I could, but the heat builds and by the time I was on the 4th or 5 bite, it was too hot.
Arroy Mak
Yes, arroy mak mak!
