Build a Spitfire Mk1A - Showcase Video. A 1/18 Scale aircraft build by Hachette PartWorks Ltd

In this video I am showing off the final model. I put the model through the full flight mode to show off all the models dynamic functions, and I then put it through some individual functions that can be selected on the remote control. It has been a long road to get to this stage, but I am happy that all the functions work, there is a couple of minor issue that I talk about in the video. One of the most annoying is the landing lights that sit in the wings, I am sure that they were originally supposed to come down and then retract with the undercarriage, but they decided against in for the final model. So now if you leave them inside the wings all the time then when they turn on the light bleeds into the guns and so the gun light come on with the landing lights, however if you put them down all the time they look odd under the wings in normal flight.
Overall I am happy with the Spitfire Mk1A build, however it has taken a lot of modification to get it too this stage and the model was not the easiest to build and the modifications in the final issue were a bit of a pain, but at least they carried out the modification and supplied the replacement parts.

Thank you for the comment, I am glad that my videos have helped. It defiantly wasn't the easiest build, but I do think it look great now it is done, and everyone who sees it is very impressed with the flying display.

Firstly not a toy! Next why would someone pay £1000 for a golf club membership? Or £1000 to go to an over crowded Spanish beach to eat crap food. But more importantly why would someone comment on how other people spend their money!!!!£

@@kevinstuartbuilds3792 When you spend 1000 quid you expect quality. That thing is an expensive toy. The panel fit is terrible. The amount of detail is bettered by the Tamiya 1/32 kit for a FIFTH the cost. Hachette support is pathetic. The R & D has been done by the customer. Also there is the saying 'A fool is easily parted with his money'. It's the same with the Lancaster.

@@ekspatriat Whilst I would definitely agree that there are some issues with the model, (panel gaps are awful) I am overall happy with the Spitfire, the cockpit and the Merlin engine are both very well detailed and look good. Once again it’s not a toy, you don’t ‘play’ with it, it’s no more a toy than a plastic model, and I agree that they can be much better for a lot less money, personally I like the look of the 1/24 Airfix Spitfire, but they take a lot of skill to make look good, and of course don’t have working lights and undercarriage etc. personally I love that saying, used mainly by idiots who are jealous of other people’s money, because as I said it’s what you consider foolish, is spending £1000’s on a season ticket to see your team lose most of their games foolish? So I don’t generally comment on how other people spend their money, and just let people enjoy whatever they choose to do. Thanks for the comment.

Whether it yourself like a normal model. Have you seen the deagostini millennium falcon and the paint jobs guys have done on that? phenominal.
