I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, fishing same body of water this year as last and I’ve only pulled one smallmouth and one largemouth all year so far. Congrats on making that cut, looks tough!
I was like that for most of the year until this past week, I caught about 11 bass over the span of 3 days. Try switching uo what you feel like should work, I was trying to force lures that I like rather than going with what the bass want. Also if all else fails, throw a wackyworm on and work it as slow as possible, if you get 0 bites over days doing that then I think all the bass died

Try something different. Ask everyone you can about what they are having luck with, find something close enough to be able to target the fish in the same part of the water column, but different enough that you don’t think anyone else is likely to be trying it right now. If everyone is scoping, get a lighter weight swimming and just put a pintail instead of a boot tail, or take your boot tail baits and trim the boots down a bit to make them different. Then you can also throw a scrounger head or an under spin or if you can get one, a super heavy spinner bait that will let you get down there and reach somebody. And don’t sleep on a depending crankbait, even if you’re fishing it in open water with no chance to touch the bottom. Nobody said they have to deflect off of the bottom or a piece of cover to start acting erratically. You can create that erratic sudden change of pace and direction with your rod and reel and get the exact same response from the fish, but in places that most people aren’t going to necessarily think about. Just try crazy stuff man. Me and my brother caught a 17lb striper while reeling in a shaky head one day, while we were sitting over 70’ of water, throwing up on a big long point. He was almost back to the boat when the thing smacked it. Fish do some weird shit. Don’t be scared to get weird with em.

To be honest, he was nowhere to be found before livescope.
He has absolutely no chance without live scope. Look how bad his finishes are now even with it.
Hmmm, 15 tournaments with 6 top 30 finishes and 5 top 20. Two of his top 20 were first and third place. I’d say that’s pretty good considering he hasn’t been a pro for very long.
