Shawn and Phantom have done some amazing things, they answer all my questions, I like digging into the setup with them , the converter and trans has been my favorite to talk about, and now the centrifugal blower and screw blower have been my latest questions and they never disappoint, I love it as a fan , very cool people

I also love how real it is and seeing him teach the boys. I also like that he respects all that you know and how far you have come since you first started hanging around and watching the older guys race. Shawn is not a hater and he respects what you guys do with the cars that are not like his. Good stuff man.

I can’t believe how fast these cars have come from the first few seasons of Street Outlaws. I hope they stay around for a long time. It’s the only reality show I will ever care to keep up with, these days.

I always watch and I’m subscribed to 187 customs but watching this was great looking at all his cars together and hearing about what’s going on with new combos and up and coming projects 👊🏻
Glad to see people racing again in more normal cars and not pro mods.
It's so much more relatable to us common guys out here that don't have big incomes or sponsors to supply parts so we can really build the fast cars like many of the guys run today. It just shows that the guys like Shawn truly are "car" lovers, of every make and model and that Shawn remembers very well where he came from and that he wasn't gifted a silver spooned pro mod when he was 16 and the unlimited budget to build n repair it!! I love the fact that Shawn n phantom just want to work on the shop n build neat fun stuff and teach the kids how to do it as well so that we've got some young blood coming into the sport. I'm really happy that Shawn n phantom have had the opportunities thay they have had over the past ten years or so and we've witnessed their rise to fame and growth in the automotive world but they still remember where they came from and are still down to earth normal guys like us that love turning wrenches where most guys that reach Shawn's level of success become different people and are unapproachable by us normal guys but Shawn n Phantom are as humble as you can get and I absolutely love that. I'm a disabled Desert Storm Vet and some days get super hard and are almost too much for any one man to physically/mentally take but it's guys like Shawn n Phantom that give us the strength to pull thru another day cause they've proven that just a couple of country boys from BFE that used to have to scrape together gas and parts money can have a lucky break and do well and it just gives me enough hope to keep fight another day! I have a 91 Jeep Grand Wagoneer identical to Shawn's white woody wagon that I've had for 16 years now and I'm in process of putting a new engine in it right now so I can get it back on the road where it should be. Im not able to swing the LS swap like Shawn did to his but hopefully one day before my body runs out of time I can swap it and experience the truck run n drive the way it should have been from the factory. It's a completely rust free body that is in beautiful condition and it's my ultimate dream that I can repower the truck with an LS or Hemi drivetrain and have an incredible truck and it's cause of all the guys in this video that keep my dream alive from year to year and I appreciate each and every one of them for being honest, hardworking, patriotic, and loyal family men that just want to build cars and have a great time doing it all!

Them couple bad seasons mean nothing , trying to get that small block to perform was not easy , and it was awesome, very damn fast , 3.80s was no joke , it was just the hemi big blocks with a blower was running low 3.70s consistently, so it wasn't slow , just wasn't as fast as the screw blower or centrifugal, but now the tide has turned and we are in for a treat , the entire Field will be so tight this year , no more runaway wins for anyone , the playing field just leveled off

Damn turbos has really evolved over the years you get boost relatively quick in todays time
But also management systems. Now you can do things like change the timing on the 2-step to produce more exhaust to spool as well.

For years a 29.5x10.5 was always a small tire. All the fast grudge guys raced on a 29.5x10.5. It was when small tire no prep & grudge style racing got so popular that all the racing experts said small tire racing was on a 28x10.5. If you couldn't hang with the 29.5 guys you stepped down to the 28 stuff.

There are 3000hp gtrs. Many powerful Porsches but in general the v8 is the most powerful. And always has been. How longs the NHRA been around with 12000 hp. Quite some time now. make no sense man. And the v8 has always been good.

8in is , and will always be the small tire. I am also a Cummins purest and 4BT is correct. It's just the baby Cummins engine and is a good power plant.

It's in the making. You know he has a crazy schedule with racing. So he doesn't really have the time to focus on Big Wheel racing just yet.... When that car gets dialed in and he can trace the same in this class as his regular class. This is going to be a major gap bridged in the world of drag racing 💯
I would like to see three cars from Brazil to get in the mix with the big boys here in US.. Chevy Opala straight 6cy turbo, VW Gol turbo Awd, Chevy Chevette Turbo. All those cars run on 4s 1/8.

I am late to the "no prep world, but quickly becoming a fan!
@will perry creative - Old school drag racing fan here (also just plain old lol). The no prep scene is the most exciting thing to happen to drag racing since the days of the wild fuel altereds. The short wheelbases and high horsepower engines made for super exciting, unpredictable racing. The no prep scene is similar in that the big tire cars still use steel bodies (roof and rear quarters at least) and stock wheelbases with ridiculously high horsepower on ever changing, unpredictable surfaces. The amount of constant tuning changes that go into it are astonishing also. There's also this sort of anti-establishment element to it that I kind of liken to the time period when the UFC was on the rise, and challenging the old Boxing establishment in terms of popularity. It really reminds me of that time period a lot...Boxing was good at doing ONE thing. UFC on the other hand was good at doing MULTIPLE things. It's really kind of similar in a way, to traditional drag racing vs no prep. But anyway. The big tire NPK type stuff is FAR from the only exciting no prep stuff going on. There's a HUGE small tire world that are SUPER fast these days and very competitive, plus all the back of the track type races, really there's just SO much quality-shot content showing up on youtube these days, it's a drag racing fan's dream. There's new stuff constantly uploaded every week practically and I get to watch racing almost nonstop. It's awesome!
Dude, watching that new street outlaws show, makes me want to try and find enough cars up here in Canada, and travel down there and see what happens! The street racing scene up here is piss poor.

If you get bored talking about car's you shouldn't be in the garage. Luv the rides an what a beautiful shop. 4.3 extreme 2000' kept up with a Lighting Ford until top end came around. 4.3 all wheel drive is probably slower. 4.3 had so many flaws. Racing is racing. Fun .

I thought you were real street Shawn. You don't even have mirror image turbos. Seriously though, the Novas, Tri 5, and other builds are really noooice. Are the big screw blowers any good on the street? It seems like almost all of the twin screw cars HAVE to perfect tune and suspension setup dead on. Have the guys running the twin screw superchargers started running smaller cube engines with more RPM instead of a twin screw on a massive CI so they're can get out of the hole and not be river dancing to get it to hook.

Coyote's are Sweet, just TOO Damn Expensive to Build, I'm one of those Old Guys that goes to the Scrapyard for My engines, your Not going to Find ANY Coyote's and if you find a Hemi engine it's 4 Times as Much as an LS, I'll Stick to My, "Common everyday Joe" budget and buy the $200.00 5.3 or $250.00 6.0 or 6.2, put Another $1000.00 Into it and get a BEAST of an Engine!
