Could you link the universals you used? I’ve tried OGRC with stock axle and brass knuckles but they don’t fit, they bind, like they are a bit too long between the knuckle and the axle part. I tried removing a bearing but it didn’t help
@@MasterFlex83 I’ve used them all from OGRC to cheap no names off Amazon, they are all pretty much the same ones. I have not experienced that issue… try a different set of knuckles. I’ve had some where the machining part for the bearing wasn’t down far enough in the knuckle and the bearing sat out to far and caused something similar.
@@NuteIlaTaco You are correct. Adding Underdrive in the rear axle does the same as Overdrive in the front with the added benefit of keeping the same crawl speed or making the overall rig speed slower. I prefer adding Underdrive to the rear axle.
I Love this stuff. More steering i like. First thing i did to my Jeep was take those Bumpers off. :) Question ???? Would putting the Over drive in the Rear cause the front to Compress ? I bet you have tried it
Overdrive goes in the front and will compress the whole suspension. It also helps with climbing, break over and turning radius. Putting overdrive in the rear will make it flip backwards anytime it climbs. You can put underdrive in the rear. You just want the front wheels spinning faster than the rear.
I got universal axles off of Amazon and installed them perfectly fine to prevent my scx24 deadbolt from hopping or kicking when turning to full lock and it actually made it worse than stock. I took off the wheel and the knuckle with the pin and the hex that holds the wheel in place, then I removed the bearing that was inside the axle and installed the universal axles. I’m basically a noob with fixing rc crawlers and I just want to know if I did something wrong or is it the part that I got was just bad. I just want to prevent it from hopping when it’s turned fully. Also everything is stock on my scx24 and im planing on changing the motor and transmission to a Injora 50T with Helical Gear transmission. If there’s anything else that I can do so my scx24 can run smoothly and be a bulletproof as possible?
P.s. For some odd reason there’s no videos nor forums out there that explain why my scx24 with the universal axles shafts hops and how to fix that issue
Thanks for sharing 👍 eventually i will start to modify my crawlers but at the moment ile just study stuff like this .Greetings from latvia...Harry
Always good to do some research! You’ll love it!
Good vid, Zack. Always great to revisit the basics for those who need to see it! Keep up the great work.
Thank you! That’s the plan with these basecamp vids!
Cbd’s all the way
Yes!
Don't forget the parts list ;)
I listed it. 😊
@Moneypit__RC well done 👍🏼
Side question - for a first b.less scx24 system, purple viper combo or starter furitek combo?
Furitek because of the simplicity of it!

@ thanks for your reply. I’m using Injora black brass knuckles fyi. The bearing looks flush on the knuckle side though
instead of over in the front, can i use under drive in the rear for the same effect?
Yup you can. I just did it in the front since I was already taking the front apart. Make it a 1 stop shop lol
@Moneypit__RC lol. the reason I want to use under in the rear is because I feel like that would make it crawl faster

Yes it would compress the front.
@@Moneypit__RC How does that effect rock crawling ? Flip over or compresd front an go. I Lvoe this Hobby. HappyThanksgiving

Hmm that’s very hard to figure out without looking at the car. Wheel nuts might be to tight? The axle shafts shouldn’t have anything to do with that.
Gutes Video, auch wenn das Car Stock bereits gut ist, alles andere befriedigt das Kind im Manne😅
Yes!!
I have a you tube challenge for you and 24 yep , a competition to see who can make the best out of a Racent crawler . Would you do it ?
I already have one. They are pretty much a scx24. We could try something!
