To activate a new battery on the Avata does it force you to update the firmware if there’s a new version available? Am am trying to avoid doing the v01.02.0000 update with RID but still want to activate a new battery.
hello, hmmm that is a good question, I can't test this scenario since my drone is updated to the newest firmware and I am located in Europe, I din't have issues with the latest update, But you can connect it to the Fly app and see what it i telling you to do! A solution that I am thinking is to connect your drone directly to Assistant 2(normal one not the FPV) and see if there is a downgrade available as an option, if yes then you can downgrade in case it forces you to update the all sistem... I can test this for you , but in a few days because I am on vacation and I only have my macbook and Assistant 2 doesn't work on macs, and I have a windows machine in my studio... Let me know if you managed to do that...
@@bilumedia I believe that once you update the Avata with firmware 1.02.0000 they lock you out of being a able to downgrade (you can still downgrade the goggles and controllers). And then you are stuck with having to plug your phone into the goggles for RID. My concern also is once you plug the Avata into a phone or a computer and run the fly app or assistant that may give it a chance to lock you into a forced update required and ground the Avata. Your situation may be different since RID is only in the USA at the moment.
@@sideburn you are absolutely right about that, the only thing that i can test is if i have the option to downgrade my Avata once connected to assistant 2... Other than this i can't do anything, maybe you can go to a drone store and connect the battery with there drone ... then you have your battery activated!
@@C4smoke Exactly, You have to us😊e the adapter cable that is provided in the package, it is strange, but this is the way it works,! Happy flying and If you need any help just ask
@@bilumedia I did use it, but then you need anther piece usb to usb c right? It didn't come with one. So I used one but it wasn't working. I also tried connecting to PC with my usb-usbc and didn't work. Then I used the adapter with another cable and it worked. They would save everyone and themselves lots of time if they just send you everything you need you know.
@@C4smoke you are absolutely right yeah, you need a data cable and not an only charging cable, I used my dji fpv cable for this, and your right again, the usb c to usb c cable doesn’t work 😅. But glad that you figure it out 👍
name apps ? to download
Can tell me 1hr battery life dron camera for use only
FPV type of drones like the Avata has little battery life in general, I don't know a consumer drone that flies for an entire hour, maybe the Mavic 3!
Ok
Can you say when battery low automatically back home?
Yes, when the battery is low it automatically return to home and land!
Any risk
