What if you just want the experience of flying? I am not planning to use the video for anything. I just want to have the closest experience to being able to fly. Do both of them require you to connect your phone? I always had problems with the DJI app, and I think that one of them could be flown without using your phone at all.
If you get either drone bundled with the goggles integra, not the goggles 2, then you don't have to plug your phone in. I own both the Avata and the DJI FPV drone, and I would say if you have to pick one I would choose the Avata. I've crashed my Avata a dozen times and its fine. It can even power through some small branches and not go down. You will have more peace of mind flying the Avata over the DJI FPV because its far more durable. I actually crashed my DJI FPV drone the first time I got it in the air and I'm incredibly fortunate it didn't take damage beside some props being broken. But if you still haven't bought one I would strongly urge you to hold off on buying anything just yet. There are telltale signs that DJI is going to release the Avata 2 next month (April 2024) and I would wait for that one personally.
Exactly ! DJI FPV is great for open spaces, windy situations etc. While Avata is much better for flying lower to the ground and around objects/people etc. very fun to fly 😄
Nice footage! Please share camera settings for the Avata (ISO range, AWB or not, FOV (extra wide or wide)) and what ND filter value are you using? Please also share if you’re using Gyroflow on all Avata footage. And please advise if you speed up your footage or it’s the actual speed of the Avata? Finally, do you feel that FPV feels underpowered with the GoPro? Thanks!
For the Avata: Will have to check, since it's been a while but I think AWB auto or auto then lock it so that it doesn't change, I'm guessing around 4500k/5500k range 🤔 Iso set automatic but 200iso max in settings if I remember correctly, FOV - wide ND filters - from freewell, but it all depends on the weather, so I will change it depending on where and when we are. For stabilization I do use gyroflow on all of my footage. Never speed up my footage, it's in 4k 60fps, with 120shutter speed. For the DJI FPV - to be totally honest, I don't really feel it to be much different than without it. But then again I almost always fly with it so maybe I'm just used to it. Ohh and I don't do acrobatics, just aim for cinematic drone shots (so cruising around)
just local park ....i like arial drone.....ive decided on the avata 1....ive never flown fpv b4....do u recomend the remote controller? i know inorder for the manual mode u need it..........but not in rush to get it will i miss out alot without remote controller ? bc it will cost me another $200 to get it
i always use the camera of dji fpv and i'm always happy with the results. I use the FPV for professional videos and never had a complain.
i’m gonna get the fpv. i’ve been wanting it since it came out years ago. do you know if i can get it new anywhere?

Where will You be flying ? (and which region/country are You in?)
I'd look into buying a wing suit with a parachute

@@arklaveany links you can send about the avata 2 interesting
I just really love the look of the FPV and the RGB lighting plus the save/brake button will be fun to use when practicing at higher altitude.
i got both drones. Both very good in their own way.I preffer avata flying around objects or people and dji fpv in open spaces

Hi Sebastian! Thx for your gr8 work! Do you have to reconnect the rc and the goggles every time you switch drones? Thanks, Marco!
Thank You!
Yes You have to reconnect the RC and Goggles with the drones every time You switch between them unfortunately
Very good info. Thanks buddy.

@@SebastianDylag thank you very much!
How are you managing to get the Avata to fly that fast? What are your rates?
good review.....pondering either FPV 1 OR AVATA 1...........not fan of the look of the avata though.....lol

Which ever has better camera quality I’ll take haha 😂📸
durability test done with avata
Hope to see an improved avatar soon with better video latency. Latency was so bad I had to return it. I went back to analog + action cam for footage.
My Fpv has dropped out of the sky 3 times, only was able to save it once with the brake
Did you figure out why?
Never had that happen with DJI FPV 🤔
@@VideoAve got an avata and the same thing happened, just sent in the RC to dji repair services for a look
do you think that two avata is better for beginners because even if I fall to the ground I can be saved!!! suggest me DJi Avata or DJI FPV

Well well, I see a shots from G.Canaria! ❤
Yup, exactly ! 😄
