Excerpts from Bob Marley's Funeral, May 21,1981, Kingston, and transport to his birth & final resting place in Nine Mile, Jamaica. Set to his song "Selassie is the Chapel." Rest in Power, King!
If they did, they loved and missed him for the wrong reasons. White Liberals gave you Bob Marley and made him bigger than what he was ( Safe Negroe). Marcus Garvey is who is true one to be missed ( All about being self suffice Negroe)
Can you imagine the sadness on this day...not just in JA but across the world😟 His presence will forever be missed but NEVER forgotten. Such an intriguingly profound man. Rebel with great purpose. His music speaks to my soul.... literally ❤️💛💚
I visited his mausoleum at Nine Mile and it was one of the most peaceful places I've been to. I highly recommend any fan of Bob who can, takes the opportunity to go and visit it 🙏
@@melissapryce25 No you can't see his body. His casket is in a beautiful marble stone tomb that you walk around. Where he is laid you have to take your shoes off before entering. It is quite a amazing phenomenal and serene experience to visit his childhood home. Although it is a scary ride going up in the mountains to get there... but you will enjoy every moment visiting 9 mile!❤❤
My mom was 6 months pregnant with me and she and my dad went to his funeral 0:06 ..my mum says I was moving around so much in her her belly am a fan forever sleep on Mr Bob your a legend in my eyes and your music lives in my soul each day🙏🏿❤️
My mother was giving birth to my brother, he was born on the 21st May 1981, the same day Bob was buried. My mother told me that the place was filled with people she said she couldn't go because she was in labour, as for me I was born 3 years later
I was 13 years old and still growing up in Trinidad when Bob died, but I was already what I would call, a well-seasoned, highly experienced journeyman afficionado of all things "Bob Marley and The Wailers." I knew nearly all of their albums and all of their songs by every note, every key, every lyric and every instrument. Bob Marley and the Wailers were ALL within us all and were part and parcel of the fabric of our African existence throughout the English-speaking Caribbean. The news of his passing was delivered to me by one of my best friends as we were crossing paths while at school. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I stopped dead in my tracks and broke down in tears. 43 years later and the somber reminders of his funeral always transpose me to that place where I was stopped in my tracks and broken down to tears. R.I.P., Bob and R.I.P. to all the fallen members. We still love you all and we miss you all.
DAMN.... 🥺🤦🏻👀 ITS BEEN A HARD 36 YEARS JOURNEY FOR ME MAN.... THIS MAN DIED BEFORE I WAS EVEN BORN....... 42YRS AGO‼️ AND IT WAS THIS YEAR 2O24 THEY DECIDED TO PREMIER HIS MOVIE... NEVER MET HIM, NEVER SEEN HIM, BUT ALWAYS FELT LIKE I KNEW THIS MAN ALL MY LIFE‼️🤔🤦🏻🥺 SMH..... DON'T KNOW WHO WILL C THIS COMMENT AFTER AM GONE BUT.... I HONESTLY FEEL AND THINK THAT BOB IS ALIVE..... LIVING SPIRITUALLY IN FULL VIEW WITHIN THE DEEP CONFINES AND SOLITUDE OF HIS TREMENDOUSLY UPLIFTING AND POWERFUL MUZIK‼️💯🙏🔆😎 THANK YOU BOB.
What was people feeling about Ethiopian tewahedo church priests celebrating? Did Rastas understand that Bob was baptized in the name of Holy trinity (son the Father and Holy Spirit) before he died?
I loved Bob Marley and his music. My fellow Aquarian. African-American. His photos, two 3:23 of them grace my wall. I have all his music on CD and his song book of songs, and his book, biography.RIP. JAH LIVES.

My first time hearing a reggae song was one of Bob’s and I’ve been hooked ever since, and it has been a fruitful life because I was born in the time of some of the greatest giants in history. RIP Iron Lion in Zion 🙏🏽
