A better arrangement for cooling a whole room is to mount a large fan to a high up exit hole of same size, pointing the fan to the outside. Then have small openings around the edges of the room, or just use sightly open windows and let cool air from a lower level enter all around. Can reduce temps by 10 degrees. Barring that you really need to be in the direct air flow of the Fan.
