It would be way more interesting if the location of the End Portal was unknown and the location of it was hidden in a chest somewhere in the map, then when someone finds it they can use it as a bargaining chip. To make it a more solid bargaining chip, burn the item that contains the location and remember it so YOU are the bargaining chip.
