    Like many, I was surprised to not see brass punches and hammers being used. So, I looked up RCV's videos to see if they had one on rebuilding... and they do. Guess what... no brass being used. th-cam.com/video/RTYUzboaL_U/w-d-xo.html

    If you fill the center full with grease and put the shaft in it will force grease threw the ball bearings

    My RCV’s are brand new and I hope I never have to beat on them like this, not a lot of people can even afford them let alone beat the hell out of them, I’m only running 37’s on one rig and 38’s on another and I try to stay out of the muddy shit to preserve my RCV’s and Tom Woods shafts!

      @@bleepinjeep LOL no, 1"x10 drift will work just fine. Works on a 300m cromo, far thicker than a Rcv.

    Do a follow on the scorpion now that youve ran it a few years and discuss the pro and cons of not doing 1 tons and other things you would have done differently.

    The only thing i would do differently, would be to use a brass or copper punch/rod.

    The thing I find is the best stuff to break down grease is gasoline. Grease just melts in gas.

    I just got a new set of RCV axles, I was wondering how often do they need to be greased and how much grease do I need to add? I can do it once a year or every 10,000 miles or do I need to grease them once every 3,000 miles? What is your experience?

    Was this on a jeep that was for wheeling only or on a driver&wheeling jeep? I wanna put these on my LJ that I drive and wheel in but I don’t want to if the regular driving will wear them out fast.

    Our JK RCVs are only 6 months old and have been clicking for about 2 months already. Our shop says that the only RCVs that don't click are brand new ones. Wondering how long I should let this go.

    Hi Matt, I just got the RCV axles installed. How often do you have grease them, I heard everytime you go off roading, the axles have to be greased.

      I dont know, I'm pretty bad at it lol. But ya I would say after every dunk in the water or after every pressure wash it should probably be topped off. But I'm a rule breaker 😇

    Thanks for the info. What spline shafts are those? RCV told me my 35 spline wouldn't make it through their outer tube seals like you just did. Are they a lower spline or are those different outer tube seals?

      You do realize the lifetime warranty ONLY covers breakage....Not warrantied against wear / clicking etc...

      Out of curiosity, what jeep do y’all have and what size tire? I’m researching these now to go into an overland touring rig. LJ with 35s. I don’t need my Kenne Bell supercharger destroying a u joint out in the middle of nowhere

    Hey Matt, guess what I do and it goes real fast? I only have to hammer the race down and expose one bearing , once that ball bearing is out I grab my grinder with a cutting wheel and just cut the race , be careful not to nick the metal cup after a cut to the empty bearing hole on both sides it slips right out because who cares about the old race , it's useless, no hammering all day . Then of course you do have to hammer and punch to get the new one in.
