- Hi everyone! I finally upgraded my growing set up. I can't believe I put it off for so long and it only cost $40... better late than never, huh? I also have a quick update on how my fall sown hardy annuals and ranunculus are doing. I'm slowly working on the new beds and keeping them weed free. I'll be hoeing around the next few months prepping the beds!
Thanks for watching!

garden tour every month pls!The ranunculus looks so promising!
I will try to keep you updated! Still waiting for those ranunculus blooms. They are going to be sooo good! 😊
I have snaps, statice, and yarrow ready to bloom. So excited 😆
Flowers will be here before we know it! 💐
I'm excited for flower season. I haven't started sowing yet, but have some poppies in the freezer and will set up for sowing snaps by Feb 15th. I'm in Western Wa as well. Let's hope we have a sunnier spring than last year!
I am excited, too! And I'm getting a little stir crazy waiting. I have good feelings about this year (and that we will have more sun)! 😊
With my last frost happening in march 1st I’m kind of late to sow more cool flowers. But I have at least 700 seedlings including rudbeckia, snapdragon, statice, foxy, yarrow, feverfew, stawflower, buplerum, Dara, ami, stocks, Billy’s ball, and more. Currently trying to clear up space in my grow room to sow sunflowers and zinnias my big warm weather flower sowing week will happen in the second week of February.
Wow that's a lot of seedlings and it sounds like you have a great mix! I'm jealous of your early frost date! 😎
The lack of electrical outlets in my home drives me nuts. There's never one where I want or need one, and I hate running extension cords everywhere. If had the funds I'd have outlets installed every 3 or 4 feet along all interior and exterior walls, so I have options and the ability to plug in whatever I want, wherever I want. 😂
Omg that sounds like a pain! It definitely feels like a luxury having lots of outlets haha 😊
Good information. I am using second hand shop lights. You can find them from craigs list (or similar narket place) very cheap. But electrecity is expensive unless using led lights. I am having problems with mice in my garage where my seedlings are growing. They ate my pea microgreens (for our own use, not selling) and olive tree seeds. I need to have a cat.
I know what you mean! I think spending more on LED lights can definitely be worth it for the electricity savings. And it sounds like you have the purrrfect excuse to get a cat 🐱
Ugh, slugs are the worst! Your ranuncs look awesome! I'm jealous. Nothing green here in Upstate NY. Everything has to wait.
Slugs are my arch nemesis lol! Oh yeah you've had a pretty snowy winter! Less than 60 days til spring 😊
I have those but can’t figure out how to get the blinds to stay on lol
This sounds like a job for those zip ties they included in the box lol 😂
Last frost is usually the last week of May or first week of June. I have a while.
It will be here before you know it! 😊
