This actually is the original version. It's the one that appears on Lion's EP, "Power Love" (1986). The one you guys are referring to as the "real version" is the re-recorded version from their album, "Trouble in Angel City" (1989).

Hey, part five isn't nearly as bad as people say it is. It has good entertainment value, some memorable characters, and creates most of the cliches associated with the franchise (I.e the 'slow killer reaches fast victim', 'signature machete weapon', 'mischievous teens who do hard drugs and have pre-marital sex'.) It also took a chance and tried something new; not having Jason. Something that part IV assured the viewer they would see in the sequel setup.
But Jimbo's dance is still superior to Violet's. Hands down.
