That little 'jump' your heart makes inside which no one notices in the store, when you find this one special gorgeous item, is everything! Beautiful finds sweety💕💕
That children’s dictionary is so cool. We had bought a set of encyclopedias for my son back in 1987. It had a dictionary that was a picture dictionary in it an it was my sons favorite book. He called it “the billy book” because it had a boy named Billy in it. We read it every day.
I love platters too. Most everything I have, I use in the kitchen every day. I have about twenty but am constantly looking for more. In a time when most people are disposing of and decluttering, I am purchasing and loving. Great use for the vintage linens, so many people don't appreciate the handy work.
Great haul, fab doilies and old books. Love that children’s dictionary too. Great Xmas plaid. You,ll use the tray, gorgeous for elegant sandwich at lunch, you know, cut into triangles, and a little chocolate or slice on the side , or fruit and cheese, dried fruit or nuts, beautiful.
You found many treasures; I am like you regarding linens and floral dishes. They’re all so lovely, and if you can give them a second (or third) life, why not!?!! 💖😘🌸
Hi Johanna, Suggestion: P erhaps u could digitize your favorite floral plates in a smaller size. They would look fantastic in your journaling. Also vintage floral saucers. I plan to copy the few I have on my copier but a digital kit would be so pretty. If copyright is an issue, perhaps you could create your own.
Fab haul. I'm working on a Fantasy Journal at the moment. I've done a couple of Christmas Journals, so I'm already in that groove!! Thanks so much for sharing. Joie ❣️😁👍
The hunt is part of the fun! I was wondering if by some chance you could make a printable using the cross stitch design on the napkins? That would be a good way to preserve the design for future use. Also, making a digital print of the top of the stationary box could be useful in the future. I like that box lid design very much! Best wishes!
I was planning to do some vintage shoppings for a month now! I don't know why I have been procrastinating but watching this video inspired me to go today 😍 after finishing watching your video I will do some cleaning and will go vintage shopping 😁💕
I love your treasures. That stationary is so pretty! I hope that you will scan the hanky and napkins to add to your other digital pack collection on Etsy!
I love thrift store/second hand store haul videod!!! I need to try and find more unique shops around me. I've been going to the chain types such as Goodwill (here in the states) and they aren't nearly as interesting and also don't have the greatest prices. Also, I too love flowers! 🌻🌼 (the name probably gives that away!) Lol.
You could start hanging your dishes/plates, on your craft room wall, too!!!! Have you ever used the yellow disc plate hangers or just the removable Velcro strips hold my plates up!!!!
A wonderful thrifty haul Johanna. The doilies are amazing and I've never seen anything like them before either. I haven't yet noticed anything crafty related at our tip shop aside from paperbacks. Fabulous book finds - can't wait to see what you do/have done with them. I so hope you can go to a Lifeline Bookfest in the future, I could stay there browsing for days there are so many tables of inspiration and vintage treasures. Loved your fairytale journals and recognised the picturebook. I have a collection of different Hansel and Gretel books that I display each Halloween even though the story terrifies me ;) I must take some photos of my childhood fairytale book and share to Instagram and Facebook. Such beautiful fabric, linens, hanky, stationery and china plate. I would love to see more haul videos please, thankyou for sharing :)
susankayej88 hansel and gretel is such a sad story 😢 a Lifeline Bookfest sounds amazing! My local lifeline has some lovely vintage books, they are a little more pricey, so as a treat occasionally i’ll pick one up 😍 it would be fun to shop with other crafters and memory keepers! I’ll try to share more thrifty hauls in the future 🤗🤗
Thanks for sharing! Also not sure but I think it was I'macoolmom, took her dollies and scanned and copied them and used the copies also in her projects she even resized them too. They looked awesome with the dollies not laying flat at all check it out before you use yours.
The doilies are beautiful!!! Those books are quite a good find!!! So lucky to have found them!!! Pretty fabrics!!! Do you use the embroidered napkins at home or just in your journals??? I love your little floral trays!!! The stationery is so pretty too!!!
I watched this video yesterday. Today I found a children’s illustrated dictionary almost identical but slightly different to yours; I’m in the UK so I suppose they are just different editions. It was unmarked and I took it to the counter and was asked for 10p, which rather astonished me so I gave a bit more, as it was a charity.
Hi Johanna - i am hooked on your channel and am getting no work done! Ha ha! Love your junk-find haul but just wanted to ask - the books you show have some serious damage on the covers - do you do anything to them before re-using them? I'm just thinking about mould or the smell these books sometimes have?
I would die if I found that set with the decorative paper and envelopes. So perfect.

Wish I had shops like that here we have charity shops but they are not that great, I love the old fashioned books.
Great haul, I was wondering if you scanned the doilies and use them as paper or just use the actual doillie. tfs
Karen Robertson i will use them both ways, they will be scanned before I use the original ♥️

Seeing the inscription in the first book from 1950 made me feel sad. So glad you can use it and it won’t be destroyed :(

What sort of thrift shops do you go to? I live in Australia too but whenever I go to a salvos or op shop I never see cool things like this!
