The past 3-4 weeks have been slow for me with instacart. I used to make $700-$900 a week..I’m barely clearing a quarter of that now. I love the new camera angle while shopping! 🔥
I started being positive because i learned a lot from your videos to get good batches, i was negative and barely could afford bills. I got calm and less irritated when i started seeing the fruits of my labor and cherry picking. It’d been slow here too but luckily i worked hard when it was a scare for people with floods and snow, im happy i can manage to get by and not stress over bills. I send good vibes my guy 🍾🥕

It's been very slow for instacart but the stores are pretty packed. That tells ya 95% of people are getting there own stuff. Like when you tip decently the cost of food delivery is like double. Instacart has to reinvent itself with the times.
Gotta remember it’s also January. This week was pretty good and I don’t think it’s a coincidence we’re now at the end of January. People are recovering from being broke from the holidays and tax refunds are right around the corner. The orders should definitely start to pick up. IC does need to get with the times though.

I went up north this past weekend and it was terrible its super slow everywhere right now, my main theory is people are saving money right now that they might have to pay for tax returns. Love the shopping pov in the video! Keep it up! I saw the biggest order I’ve ever seen that was $97 and the same thing happened to me that happened to your wife. I accepted it and it disappeared, then it showed up again and I accepted it again but then it said it was no longer available. Ugh!
I appreciate it! Often happens and it’s really frustrating. I recommend you keep trying to accept the order even after you know it’s probably gone. It’s happened that I’ve actually ended up getting orders the second or third time they pop up after I missed them the first time 🫢

I asked you about this and I checked for videos on the subject. There are NO decent videos on the ins and outs of doing Costco orders, especially doubles and triples. For instance, had I done a Costco, I always use the self-checkout for myself, but it wouldn't have worked at Costco according to one of the attendants.
Yup! Terrible over here too…Southern California… I made $89 all week! I did $169 on uber…. I do need to work! But I do junk removal also and I’m a single Mom With 4 young adults.
Today I managed to do 160 in instacart but had to grind the 25-30 batches. Highest one I had was 32 for cart today. It’s sad when my highest order today was Uber eats order and it came out to 36 dollars and took 25 min to do.

It has been the same way for me up here in Ohio! Last week was great because of cold snowy weather people did want to go out, but this week it dried up. Wednesday I saw only one order all day that was worth doing and only pay $15 but was not many items and was heading in the direction my home and it was late in the day and I was ready to go home. The few other orders were so bad they probably cost me to do them. DoorDash has been dead for me too. Hope it improves next week cause my rent is due next week and another bill and as of today do not have the money. 😬
Well this is happening to me a lot for the past few weeks. Missing big orders!! Tapping a lot to accept orders. They are coming back on the screen like 3 times and there are gone!! The biggest one I missed 125$ 😫

I had that same $105 Costco order pop up on my screen and I am completely clear across country from you. I wasn’t able to select it either. It wouldn’t select and then somebody else got it. Do you think this might be a fake batch incentive? You should do a video about that and pull and see if people in different cities got that.
That’s the thing with Instacart. It likes to mess with you. Like you said with your wife, they show her a batch she hits accept 1 million times it doesn’t go through then they keep showing it to you again and again teasing you with it. Shady stuff. I know you’re typically not a big fan of Shipt but with tip tracking and taking orders with higher promo pay that are set to expire, especially the low item ones can help offset when Instacart is slow. There is also a lot of times while I’m shopping one order from one company I have a chance to snag up one from the other. These are some of the tactics I’ve been using until Instacart starts, showing me some bangers if they ever do lol. One nice thing about the Shipt orders is that the delivery window is more flexible which helps integrating them in with the Instacart orders. if I were seeing bangers in my area like you typically do, I would probably try to focus mainly on Instacart but I’m not sure if it’s my area or since I have just started out a few months ago and they don’t show me any bangers yet. Weird thing is the best orders I see are typically always $56 lol.
Interesting! I’ve adopted that strategy before and it really worked well. But I started getting a lot of shipt orders that never tipped. And then missing good Instacart orders via notification while shopping the shipt. So I started focusing on Instacart more. But it’s been so slow lately that I’ve started to get back on schedule for shipt just to see what they show me. I might do some shipt soon. Thanks for the support 🙌🏻
January has been such a dry month for me as well in my area. I think it’s because people still don’t have money from Christmas and also New Year’s resolutions people are probably trying to be less lazy
A little of both things. I know my stores very well, memorize the shopping list as good as possible, scroll up and down while looking for the items, I visualize the best way to separate orders according to their item sizes when they are doubles or triples, hit the aisles from the a particular end depending on the item location on the aisle and save walking distance… and a lot more things. Bro it's not bots she was not in the first group for receiving batches most likely she was in 2nd. The people in the first group get about a half a second start to accept the order. It sucks when this happens because it's more difficult to make money with the competition however if it's a repeat the algorithm can still favor her for a particular order.
At this point about 90% of the orders that exist at our stores are repeats and we can miss them regardless. I agree with the groups though. Many times she’s in the first or second group and she only sees high orders, not even trash, only high orders exclusively. Many times they only flash on her screen.
@Gig_DollarMan in my area I keep track of who my competition is it's always the same people. If there on a batch , not there or not in first group there out of my way.
I saw a $117 and i jumped on it i barely got it too. And then it was dead after not showing me batches after that banger i went home i said f this. I avoid the stress and anger if i can’t make $200 + the day i take an hour off or 3 and go back in it then try again the next day
I have a couple questions as a new shopper here. Do you think being on low power mode affects getting offers (iPhone). Do you think using other apps while waiting for orders affects getting offers ? Do you usually stay on the app then see the offers pop up and accept or are you outside the app and then you click the notification then accept. Those are my questions, thank you !
Low power won’t affect getting orders in my opinion, but it does slow the phone down and makes it less responsive to when an order pops up. I’ve missed orders because of that. (The phone gets slower and your taps to open and accept batches are not processed quickly enough) I don’t think using other apps affects getting batches, but the most effective way to grab orders is to stay in the app to see them pop up. Instacart won’t always notify you for new batches while outside the app, and if they do, not always you’ll be able to accept them before someone else that was in the app.
Same thing that happened to your wife happened to me today, hit accept it wouldnt work, batch went away then came back up tried to accept, went away. Did that 3 times

Also, was your wife screen-recording that 105, or was that a screenshot? I have a new rule that I started using: If it’s under $50, I screenshot upon accepting. If it’s over $50, I don’t screenshot - I just hit the button as fast as possible, Just something to consider
It’s a screenshot. But she took it after she had missed it already. The first time the order appeared she tried to accept it many times and the green button never went gray. Then the order appeared a few more times (it’s a glitch) then she took the screenshot. I screenshot about every single order I take though, and it never interferes, if I end up missing it could be bad signal or that I opened the order too late.

Today i experienced what your wife experienced of not being in first group. I missed a $47 to a shopper whos known for waiting for bangers only. I let that one slide so i wasted an hour then half hour later an $80 pops up and it doesnt give it to me im like ok ive had it going home. I usually get all good orders sent to me no problem it sucks when the algorithm decides to not favor you for the day it really sucks but sometimes you gotta take a day off.
Damn. That’s really tough, I’ve definitely had those days where I miss a few bangers. My wife seems to have that happen very often though… I either don’t miss that many orders or don’t get offered that many bangers in a single day (lately). Many times I feel like I don’t even click that quick on some batches and the system will give them to me regardless. But I guess depends on the group I’m in and other factors at that point. Stay up!
I signed up a long time ago, I never got off the wait list. Recently I tried to sign back up and my driving record didn’t go through (I had like 1 point for speeding) 😟

My market is always 3 batches for 30 dollars like 80 items
Well this is happening to me a lot for the past few weeks. Missing big orders!! Tapping a lot to accept orders. They are coming back on the screen like 3 times and there are gone!! The biggest one I missed 125$ 😫

I had that same $105 Costco order pop up on my screen and I am completely clear across country from you. I wasn’t able to select it either. It wouldn’t select and then somebody else got it. Do you think this might be a fake batch incentive? You should do a video about that and pull and see if people in different cities got that.

That’s the thing with Instacart. It likes to mess with you. Like you said with your wife, they show her a batch she hits accept 1 million times it doesn’t go through then they keep showing it to you again and again teasing you with it. Shady stuff. I know you’re typically not a big fan of Shipt but with tip tracking and taking orders with higher promo pay that are set to expire, especially the low item ones can help offset when Instacart is slow. There is also a lot of times while I’m shopping one order from one company I have a chance to snag up one from the other. These are some of the tactics I’ve been using until Instacart starts, showing me some bangers if they ever do lol. One nice thing about the Shipt orders is that the delivery window is more flexible which helps integrating them in with the Instacart orders. if I were seeing bangers in my area like you typically do, I would probably try to focus mainly on Instacart but I’m not sure if it’s my area or since I have just started out a few months ago and they don’t show me any bangers yet. Weird thing is the best orders I see are typically always $56 lol.
Interesting! I’ve adopted that strategy before and it really worked well. But I started getting a lot of shipt orders that never tipped. And then missing good Instacart orders via notification while shopping the shipt. So I started focusing on Instacart more. But it’s been so slow lately that I’ve started to get back on schedule for shipt just to see what they show me. I might do some shipt soon. Thanks for the support 🙌🏻

January has been such a dry month for me as well in my area. I think it’s because people still don’t have money from Christmas and also New Year’s resolutions people are probably trying to be less lazy

Hi, how do you shop so fast? Did you memorize all the stores in your area or you have some sort of special strategy of how to walk inside store?
A little of both things. I know my stores very well, memorize the shopping list as good as possible, scroll up and down while looking for the items, I visualize the best way to separate orders according to their item sizes when they are doubles or triples, hit the aisles from the a particular end depending on the item location on the aisle and save walking distance… and a lot more things. Bro it's not bots she was not in the first group for receiving batches most likely she was in 2nd. The people in the first group get about a half a second start to accept the order. It sucks when this happens because it's more difficult to make money with the competition however if it's a repeat the algorithm can still favor her for a particular order.
At this point about 90% of the orders that exist at our stores are repeats and we can miss them regardless. I agree with the groups though. Many times she’s in the first or second group and she only sees high orders, not even trash, only high orders exclusively. Many times they only flash on her screen.
@Gig_DollarMan in my area I keep track of who my competition is it's always the same people. If there on a batch , not there or not in first group there out of my way.
I saw a $117 and i jumped on it i barely got it too. And then it was dead after not showing me batches after that banger i went home i said f this. I avoid the stress and anger if i can’t make $200 + the day i take an hour off or 3 and go back in it then try again the next day
Good point, I kinda do the same when it’s like that 👍🏻 can’t stay that many hours out without action when I can just be chillin’ at home
I have a couple questions as a new shopper here. Do you think being on low power mode affects getting offers (iPhone). Do you think using other apps while waiting for orders affects getting offers ? Do you usually stay on the app then see the offers pop up and accept or are you outside the app and then you click the notification then accept. Those are my questions, thank you !
Low power won’t affect getting orders in my opinion, but it does slow the phone down and makes it less responsive to when an order pops up. I’ve missed orders because of that. (The phone gets slower and your taps to open and accept batches are not processed quickly enough) I don’t think using other apps affects getting batches, but the most effective way to grab orders is to stay in the app to see them pop up. Instacart won’t always notify you for new batches while outside the app, and if they do, not always you’ll be able to accept them before someone else that was in the app.

Same thing that happened to your wife happened to me today, hit accept it wouldnt work, batch went away then came back up tried to accept, went away. Did that 3 times

A little over 6 active work hours with Instacart. But realistically around 12 hours total counting down time (looking for orders)

I have a new rule that I started using:
If it’s under $50, I screenshot upon accepting.
If it’s over $50, I don’t screenshot - I just hit the button as fast as possible,

It’s a screenshot. But she took it after she had missed it already. The first time the order appeared she tried to accept it many times and the green button never went gray. Then the order appeared a few more times (it’s a glitch) then she took the screenshot. I screenshot about every single order I take though, and it never interferes, if I end up missing it could be bad signal or that I opened the order too late.
Why dont you do Uber and Lyft?
I don’t know! I guess afraid of getting people in the car. But I’m open to it. It’s just that I prefer delivering stuff than people 😅

Today i experienced what your wife experienced of not being in first group. I missed a $47 to a shopper whos known for waiting for bangers only. I let that one slide so i wasted an hour then half hour later an $80 pops up and it doesnt give it to me im like ok ive had it going home. I usually get all good orders sent to me no problem it sucks when the algorithm decides to not favor you for the day it really sucks but sometimes you gotta take a day off.
Damn. That’s really tough, I’ve definitely had those days where I miss a few bangers. My wife seems to have that happen very often though… I either don’t miss that many orders or don’t get offered that many bangers in a single day (lately). Many times I feel like I don’t even click that quick on some batches and the system will give them to me regardless. But I guess depends on the group I’m in and other factors at that point. Stay up!

@@Gig_DollarMan its just very stressful. I do have a lot of anxiety while driving with a lot of other people on the road though. So many things go wrong too like wrong address or the maps messing up or the restaraunt literally not existing
