Thanks Mat for building the car i gave you at the show. You did an amazing job , I wish I had build it myself but i know i would not have done that amazing job It was great getting to meet you in person and sorry we didn’t have enough time to talk but hope to see you at Jaxcon in Jacksonville. Thanks again for all you do for the Hobby. Thanks again for the build and see you soon. Bill Boone
Always enjoy your work! Being a child of the 60's this brings back memories of my dad buying kits for me. Also by showcasing these old kits to younger generations you give a glimpse of what life was like before cell phones, etc. Lets hope that they realize you take pride in something you built yourself.
There are plenty of ideas for when I get back around to mine. The green looks gorgeous on that body-style. The folded hood kept bothering me whenever I looked at/poked at mine; it is a very simple detail, and white does seem to make it stand out even more. A slightly darker wash might soften it up a little bit, but white-walling the tires should also balance the white out.
That's a perfect color for it Matthew. Thanks for sharing the wheel painting technique. Looks far easier than trying to mask with tape. Now if someone could come up with a chrome paint that isn't so delicate to touch. 👍👍
Looks great! Maybe an off white or lite tan would have better on the top. I usually mask the running boards so I don't lose the detail. Love those simple small kits!
I built the Lindberg version of this 8-9 years ago. It was a fun kit to do. I sent you some photos through e-mail because my phone won't send pics through TH-cam I guess. Keep on keeping on Matthew and I'll see you on the next one. 😊😊
😮 Wow! Love the green. It looks so good on this style old car. I can't believe how fast my order arrived, wow! I got a dark Dupli-Color green I'm gonna use on something, probably the 66 Shelby GT-350
Very sharp for a little 👍 On box art I look at it as a suggestion not a absolute. I've done one by the box and didn't mean to, did a 29 roadster in tropical rose for my granddaughter on side of box was done in pink. Anyway great job as always!!!!
I believe the boot should be an off white or light tan as well. Thanks for the demonstration of the Liquid Mask. Ive been wanting to try it so ill be ordering some soon. The model looks great. Didn't know Pyro could look so nice.
Looks awesome. Your 3D stuff looks great. I have a couple things I ordered for Christmas from my mother in law . But I won’t see them till Christmas Day lol. But I think I will be putting in an order tomorrow for a couple other things.
Beautiful model, Matthew. I have a few 1/32 models and I’m stuck on a 1/25 car. Maybe I’ll work on one or two of the smaller ones. Thanks for the inspiration!
in the automotive collision industry they use in some shops something like that , its watersoluble, after painting you just wash it off. for a model you could also peel it of as well
The body paint looks good, but cars in those days never shined so nice…😂😂😂😂😂 Seat color and texture, look great.👍🏻 Change the boot cover, I agree with your choice.. I think that those were canvas back then. The eyes? Welcome to the club.. On a good note, we can still see..🤷🏻♂️ Nicely done..✔️

I hope so! Thank you
The shine is amazing! Great job on the tires/wheels/caps!
Nothing says the boot has to stay white, it does stand out kinda loud.
Maybe an off white.
Thanks Russell!

Thanks Daniel!
@modelcarvideos5829 your welcome 😁
Really looks sharp, nice work!!
Looks great Matt. Clean build.
Thanks Jes!!
Hi Mathew. I think a good color for that convertible top would be a nice soft tan color to contrast with the seats instead of the white. 👍🙂
👍🏻👍🏻

I want to see 1980s GM nascar type header pipes made for those old monogram kits
👍🏻👍🏻
😮 Wow! Love the green.
It looks so good on this style old car.

Looks Awesome! Love the stock look.
Looks great!! I use Mod Podge as a glue. It sticks really good. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks James!
Cool little car, what’s the name of that green.
Jaguar racing green. Thanks Harvey

You know... you could still mask off the area around the convertible top and re-spray it. But it is a cool little car. Good job. Peace and love.
Thanks TJ!
It turned out great! I think the top color would not appear so stark if the tires were white wall....just my thoughts.
Probably so. Thanks Johnny!
Being a cheapskate, could I mask with Mod Podge ( thinned down to make it more workable )
I don't think it would release since it's glue but it's worth trying.
The body paint looks good, but cars in those days never shined so nice…😂😂😂😂😂
Seat color and texture, look great.👍🏻

hobby needs some 4 and a half in front wheels for drag racing and gassers
👍🏻👍🏻
What’s the dry time before you can touch the paint
Terrific video ! What is your preferred chrome product?
You are gonna go blind working on those little kits. I don't know how you do it but it looks really good
