As soon as i see Jade on the thumbnail I click and have my notebook and pen for notes! LOVE her and George together too!
Top tier Friday combo, imo.
Stacey doesn’t seem to understand that she already Has a “fractured family” due to the fact that she’s withholding the truth from her husband about paying her daughters’ debts. It’s amazing the level of justification and denial. It’s hard sometimes for us to see the situation objectively when we’re IN it. In different circumstances entirely, I’ve been downright delusional because I was too close to the situation. I’m so glad they were straight with Stacey. Excellently done, you two.
Yea she drove me nuts.
“She doesn’t get to have her dreams when she did nothing to prepare for those dreams” -yes!! Thank you George! The people that are ok with being a burden to their children just blow my mind. I can’t imagine doing that to my kids.
Jade ROCK!!! Her Personality is Positive & Inspiring. 💯
Love her! Go Jade!
Love Jade and George together. Good energy, ideas, and conversation! Good job👏🏾👏🏾
I’m sorry but the people that make 91k and call in about a $2200 credit card is annoying af. Pay the thing off and keep it moving 🤦🏾♂️
I agree with everything you said (except for the f word)
Or people that call in and make 300k a year and say they paid off 150k in a year.
I think the calls are necessary. The reality is that people who make 90k feel like they make 19k since they are spending so much on life. The calls help to give many others perspective. Also, 90k is 2 people making 45k. Doesn’t seem like that much money when you divide it by a family.
@@jpsy422exactly
@@jpsy422💯 After dedications too.
I am realizing more and more that a lot of financial stress actually comes from family - older parents still trying to care for kids who should be out on their own and self-supporting, young families trying to take care of older parents who did not prepare for their retirement (not in a nursing home, but just daily expenses), and parents who sacrificed their retirements to take out loans for their kids' college. Maybe they need to do a show or two on handling family members - not from a psychological perspective, but from a FINANCIAL perspective. Setting realistic expectation with kids while they are still young. Setting boundaries for kids about when they will move out of the house. How to respond to parents who ask their kids for money and financial support. Financial resources for these kinds of situations.
@@davidb2206 Feminism happened to male children. The false idea that boys don't need a father around to mentor them. I say this as a son of a single mom. The reality is that boys need male role models in their lives. Children without fathers in the home have a much higher rate of anxiety, poverty, depression, delinquency, prison time, school drop-out, and teen pregnancy.

Jade and George, two of my fav’s!
This credit card push happened to me with Wells Fargo. I had the manager standing behind me, to watch me sell the cards, and lie to the customer by default. I had to leave.

I always went the top floor every time. It’s always cheaper and you stay in shape. 👌
Also safer and you save $ on heat in the winter. :)
Girl math is a special kind of math, isn't it? It's like chasing credit card rewards by bypassing the stacks of $100 bills and going, "Ooh, look! A penny!"
If you go to a mall you will see it on full display…😂😂😂😂
Well, here's an example of boy math. Wanting to spend $600 on a tool that might be used once every few years, but not wanting his wife to get a good vacuum cleaner (that will come with a price) that can be used EVERY day!
@@Trustbutverify2651 Mistress Elizabeth, thou hast brought forth an astute observation regarding the peculiarities of "boy math." Verily, it is akin to the concept of "girl math" where one may not fully evaluate their financial endeavors. 'Tis a situation where priorities seem askew, as a tool of occasional utility is held in higher esteem than a device that serves daily domestic needs.
In such cases, empathy doth flow, for 'tis important to understand that individuals may place great value on their interests, even if they seem incongruous to others. 'Tis but the human nature, where desires and assessments oftentimes diverge. Mayhaps, in fostering understanding and discourse, we can bridge these disparities in perception and find common ground in matters of household expenditure.

Hi George thank you for doing such a good job for such a long time. I have been following for a while. ❤️💯
Whether or not to keep a new expensive car also is dependent on other expenses than just the loan. We pay very high vehicle personal property taxes in my state on all vehicles, and we only get a couple weeks' notice and they have to be paid in one lump sum once a year (you can't do it monthly.) Apparently they must not have to pay that in Tennessee. Insurance? Repairs? Lots to consider with whether or not to keep an expensive car if you still have debt.
I love the little “woo-hoos” y’all are so funny
I agree with Jade. NEVER live on the first floor for the pests, less safety, open to potential floods, etc.

I think that house will probably end up selling for a lot more than you think if it is in White Plains, New York. We had two different appraisers confirm how much my fathers house is worth. It’s currently selling for almost 100,000 beyond that.
Yes to second floor apartments! I’ve had both and was only ever broken into on the first floor. I also had no pest issues on the second floor!

28 year old male - MOVE OUT AND MAN UP! Get a second job if you need to. What is the "we" in your question - you and your Mom? You are not responsible for emotionally supporting your single mother! You don't get used to the real costs of living until you're on your own.
The longer he does this the more dangerous it becomes. If he stays there another 7 to 10 years and then he finally meets a woman he wants to settle down with. He’s going to have a tug-of-war problem. That happened with my late husband. He didn’t live with his mother, but he catered to her and he married at a later age. So needless to say when I came along, it was a rude awakening for her, and it did cause some tension in the beginning of our courtship and marriage, because the relationship that was developing between me and my husband was taking the attention away from her.

Same Jade - when I was single and getting my first apartment back in the 80’s, friends told me not to go on the first floor because people can break in the windows. Maybe men do not have this concern for safety though.
How about Linda's mom get a job?
When does Jade start her TH-cam channel? ❤
If she's smart, not until she's done at Ramsey. Her personality can go way further than just telling people debt bad, and her contract likely gives Ramsey a cut of any content she makes
Second floor in a three floor building is ideal. Lower power bill and fewer pests.
The lady in White Plains....George mentioned maybe mom can find a $2000 one bedroom apartment. But her income is only $2800 and most apartments require your income to be 3x the rent. Rough situation.
Linda in White Plains no no no…..😮 divorce is a big transition, especially at that age. My parents divorced at a later age. The older, you are the harder it is to make a change. I think your mother is hanging on to her other life. Divorce is a loss absolutely! But that house is part of another life, a part of her life that no longer exists, and I think she’s hanging onto it for emotional reasons. It would be one thing if she was going to carry the responsibility of the house, but to hand it over to you and your siblings is a responsibility that could become a burden that I would not take on. Property assets, money, often create problems if not division between family members. You think you know somebody well but wait until there’s money involved. Please don’t do this your mother has to transition to a new way of life. It’s just part of the divorce loss. She’s lucky that she has children that can help her and support her through this transition, but taking on that kind of responsibility is too much. And if you and your siblings are now adults and living on your own, why does your mother need a house? And who is going to help her with the upkeep of the house and/or property as she ages. Again I see this as an emotional decision. The divorce I’m assuming is pretty fresh so she probably can’t look too far ahead at this point but a lot of divorce people transition out of houses and back into rentals. I’m 56 years old and I lost my husband at 48 we had a marital home and after two years I sold it. Those two years alone were difficult, not with inside maintenance but the outside. I figured as I got older, I would have to pay for a lot of help and I decided I didn’t want the responsibility or the financial burden of having to do that so I live in a rental and I have for the past nine years and I’m very happy.
Yes! I’ve always lived on the top floor! Never cared for people stomping around. N yes.. moving the furniture was annoying
Where do these kids get these parents that pay things off for them!?
@davidb2206 same! Even my insurance. You can imagine how high it was. All while making like 7 dollars an hour lol. What a time
From parents who did the baby steps. Buy your kids opportunity, not things. Sometimes that means buying them things to give them opportunities
@jpsy422 I'm here for buying them things they deserve to make their lives easier! But I'm kind of referring to the kids making these insane decisions, like going into $30k in credit card debt, and I, as a parent, paying it off for them. I personally think that's a little crazy.

Stop using credit cards to buy stuff you can't afford. That's the only reason you use credit cards. You put yourself 100k in debt for stupid junk
No, that is NOT the reason I use credit cards. I use them because I get Sams points (which I then use to buy items for our church food panty), I get a free bag and priority boarding for airlines (checking a bag both ways now is more than what I pay for my yearly airline credit cards), and I use my points to buy gift cards for gifts (or use the gift card to purchase an actual gift from that store with the gift card I get from the points for my credit cards.) But I do NOT wait until the end of the month to pay them off. Usually a charge posts within two days and I check my accounts religiously every morning and pay off the charge as soon as it posts - and then I enter that into Every Dollar. Have never paid a cent of interest or any fees, so they are not making money on me (and I don't use them for "stupid junk.") It's all about being disciplined and if I pay off a credit card as soon as it posts, it's like using it as a debit card because debits take two days to post at my bank, too.
💯.
Is there a cap on how long a credits cards can keep charging your credit card not being paid on?
They’ll send you to collections after a few months
Very short answer - NO. That is why you should NOT ignore them. Just like student loans, fees and interest get astronomical.

About living on a first-floor apartment vs. upper floor--women are advised to avoid apartments on the first floor. An attacker can more easily break into the apartment and harm you. I can't believe y'all have never heard of that!
An apartment is a home for cockroaches and only cockroaches.
Sorry - do NOT agree with not having a credit score. The first thing my job checked was my credit score because of the responsibilities I have. I get the feeling that no one who works for Ramsey was ever able to manage their credit cards and that's why they tell everyone not to have any. I always pay my cards as soon as something posts and I get LOTS of benefits. I don't blame someone for keeping financial secrets from someone if they know the person can't hear bad news, which is what she's describing. If the person can't hear about a mistake you made as a rational actor without ex-communicating your children over a credit card, then it breeds secrecy.

Math. If I buy a house worth $175k with a down payment of $15k, my mortgage would be for $160k. When he says save more $ for your down payment he’s saying , if I save up 90k for my down payment, my mortgage amount would be for $160k.
I was thinking the same. I bought my house in 2004 for $109,000. A two-story, 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with semi finished basement and attached two-car garage was a great deal. Why shame someone out of a $175,000 home?
