Luka, actually has proven to be a better play maker and shot creator. Also I haven't really seen Luka play off the ball.
I agree, at least bring the ball up. There’s been several turnovers where Luca gets stuck in the back court and haphazardly tries to advance the ball resulting in a turnover. It also eats a lot of the shot clock. Also, let PJ Washington initiate some offense driving to the basket

I love kyire but this series is gonna be tough every game because of the matchups he goes against on defense. He has Jrue Holiday guarding him which really is he perfect person in the whole league size, speed and strength wise to keep up and lock down kyire. Than he also is guarded by Brown & Tatum which are also great tall long defenders.

I know this is a different monster, but Boston is beatable without Porsingis, I heard that he might miss the next two games. I hate when a player goes down, but injuries are part of the game! I am not a Dallas or Celtics fan, just expressing my personal opinion as a basketball fan. Hope the best team wins, and as of right now, Boston has been the better team!

This was the problem with the Mavs going into this series against a monster that is the Celtics. Players other than Luka need to show up, and that just hasn't been the case.

They can talk about Kyrie, they can talk about missing shots. THE TRUTH? Luka is killin’ but HE’S GETTING ABUSED ON DEFENSE Like it’s nothing on the first bounce, if that. They’re breaking him down like he’s a cone or a chair. Fix or no fix it’s how they should’ve played vs the warriors.
This is an example of calling Great Offensive Weapons (Luka, Jokic, Steph to name a few) great basketball players. They’re heavy liabilities on D and Kyrie himself is one as well. People will say Luka is hurt etc but this is what I’ve been saying way before the playoffs. Even during the game Kidd saying “participation on D” lol. That explains they’re D right there and the only reason they’re not already home was because they had to go get Gafford & PJJ along with giving DJJ more minutes.
Luka is a bad boy on offense and he’s a stationary cone on D. People get hyped like his defense improved cause of a play here and there not watching all the easy blow buys and giving up off the first dribble plus he doesn’t have the foot speed or quickness. Luckily he has size but he’s getting cooooked on D. The nba is business entertainment based which means marketing, image creation and false narratives. He, Jokic, Steph are why there isn’t also an Offensive player of the year and the mvp isn’t required to be at least good on both ends of the floor. They convinced the masses and others that great offensive weapons are better or more valuable than players who impact both ends which is false and why they need D and protection on D to win. They can put up numbers no doubt but those dudes even if fixed can’t win being the best or one of the best defender’s on their team which is not separate from being a complete basketball player though the media’s job is to convince the masses otherwise. It’s not about being elite on D but these dudes don’t and can’t take on the true challenge of defending which is a problem any time a team chooses to expose it

Dallas' generic offense has caught up to them. They don't run any actions to get guys open off ball for easy baskets. Their whole offense is predicated on pick n roll (Which the Celtics have nullified) and isolation basketball by either Luka and Kyrie where they kick it to an open man when help comes. That kind of offense is easily predictable. The Celtics have been keyed in on shutting Kyrie down and allowing Luka to get off. Knowing that when both of them get going it opens the floor for their teammates, but if one is off they're easier to defend. Both Luka and Kyrie don't move without the ball and just stand around waiting for the other to make plays. They will not beat this Boston team like that and the series was basically over before it began.
