The meaning of justice can change from one day to the next. A professional soldier never brings justice into the mission. Politics are fickle, they change with the times. So long as we remain loyal to our countries, soldiers like us need nothing to believe in. Big Boss
Soldiers are manipulated by politicians. Boss died to show Snake this truth. The new era soldier should think about what he is fighting for. So fight for the living. Believe in something.
2:24 It's amazing how powerful David Hayters voice acting as Snake is. His emotional scream has so much more impact than any other game character. To have played every MGS on release has been amazing and something i'll never forget. So much more than just a game and it's a shame alot of people will never really appreciate it...
@@J-Sama1990 MG2 isn't Naked Snake Big Boss, that's Venom Snake Big Boss. Two different characters. The only thing wrong I said was Snake's death in Mgs4. I forgot he died of FOXDIE in the end. It's Solid Snake who is still alive in the story.
Anyone else think we appreciate epic characters like these because it's so difficult to find people as loyal and honourable as those depicted here in our own lifes. I sure do.
Big Boss is my all time favorite character in any entertainment medium, and you sir have made my day with that amazing tribute video. Thank you. A Hero, Forever Loyal to the Flames of War, Rests in Outer Heaven. 1935 - 2014
It doesn't take a Rocket scientist to know why Big Boss became who he became. He saw some shit in his lifetime, lost so many friends, betrayed etc. The government made him kill his Mentor/Woman he loved. He was truly a Tragic Hero, makes me tear up...
@@JohnDoe-mb1uu Nobody is saying that excuses the atrocities he committed, only that they understand why he became the man he was. He had a flawed but human element that made him a compelling character, whether or not his actions were justified.
metal gear solid was my first game with a really really big store line to it and by watching this I had chills everywhere, I do not know why but the story of Boss and Snake just really hits the heart. It pains me to see the next metal gear solid isn't what it used to be.
I thought i'm not crying again but.....Big boss Story was like a Plenty of Spike that hit me every time and tell me that "How does Patriot do?" Good job BRo.
@DeltaForceSFODD Thanks a lot for your help with these clips, man. This video wouldn't have been possible without you. I'm really glad you enjoyed my video and I will probably make some more in the coming weeks or months.
this just goes together so perfectly its the best big boss tribute ever! sweet love it love snake it also somes up the relationship betwieen snake and boss this is so grate nice job! :)
I love Solid Snake and I really like Venom Snake alot and I even have some appreciation for Solidus Snake and Liquid Snake is pretty entertaining as a villain. But Big Boss... I just can't help but love him the most. For all his mistakes and screw ups, he was a leader that loved his soldiers and wanted to give them more. Solid Snake is the hero we all need, Raiden is the worthy successor, Venom is the tragic hero that we all love, Solidus is the madman with a noble spirit, but Big Boss is the beginning, the original and for all his mistakes, he'll always be a noble (if tainted) hero. He's the one that tried to fight back against the system for all soldiers that suffered, were manipulated and/or betrayed, to try and make a better world. And without Big Boss, you would never have a Solid Snake or a Raiden or a Venom Snake or a Sniper Wolf or so many other characters that we've grown to love. He made a lot of mistakes, but he MEANT WELL. I always wonder though...if part of it wasn't severe PTSD influencing him at times from all the CRAP he endured (Various torture sessions, killing the Boss that was basically his mother, the death/murder of young people and soldiers in such horrible ways, Gene's mental assaults during their fight), that maybe made him paranoid and a little out of it in the end. He seemed different at the end of MGS4. Like he realized all his problems and took ownership of them. In the end, by mercy-killing Major Zero and making peace with Solid Snake, guiding Solid Snake to find peace in his life... he redeemed his honor and got the final victory. As tragic as it was... it gave him his honor back. Big Boss got the Final Victory. I take comfort in that.
@chongxiong Agreed. Big Boss is an amazing character, his image evokes pure awesomeness and to boot he is arguably Kojima's most tragic, complex and conflicted creation. Its clear Kojima feels the same way because of the work he's put into developing Big Boss since MGS3 - the fans werent screaming for Big Boss games or anything (although I was since MGS1), but Kojima wanted to develop him. In terms of telling a good story, the potential is almost limitless with Big Boss because hes so complex
When I first heard this tune in Inception, it realy reminded me of something you'd expect to hear in Metal Gear. I think you've brought the two together beautifully.
haha Yeah, well I knew nothing about the series. I'm not a big gamer. Just saw the MGS4 for like ten bucks and thought why not... and was completely fascinated by it's complexity. I will def keep an eye out for that collection!
Oh man. Right... in the... feels. That got me both so nostalgic and emotional. Your videos just always tend to capture so many things that make MGS such an amazing saga.
You've really pushed yourself on this one it seems; watching it gives me a real sense of freedom, regret and restriction of freedom. All of which is related to Big Boss's lifes work; it impressed me from the clips you chosen to use, they really show his true nature. Well done.
this theme is from inception it was never in any transformers at all but i am a big fan of the MGS series its great i have all 0of them encluding the NES series as well with the hd collection i love sneaking foxs vids and ur mgs tribute thanks so much for putting it together its great
this is gorgeous. metal gear solid is not only my favourite video game series, but also one of my favourite series in any media so it's great to see such inspirational videos from you. i hope you continue to make them for as long as you can. mind me asking why you hate saying big boss is your favourite character though?
Great Job! This really sumons up who Big Boss is. At first we all think hes this Evil guy, but really it's just that we never saw hes side of the Story. Big Boss was not the Bad Guy... Holy crap! Wow, this tribute was AWESOME. I love you pulled clips from Snake Eater, Portable Ops, Peacewalker, and MGS4, not just from one game. This truly ranks up there with the great ones. Good job!
Pretty good. I've always loved the big boss. Solid was more straight forward than Big Boss. He was pretty sure about himself. There was only right and wrong with him and nothing else. The Big Boss was a bit more emotional and his 'right' could've been someone else's wrong. Nice video.
Wow this was a great tribute, Best one I've ever seen, You have nach for this and I'm glad I found such a Meta Gear Solid fan As yourself, Great Vids, Great Work all together, GREAT, as Snake would say, NICE WORK.
A masterful video as always. I eagerly await your next tribute. Big Boss revealed himself to be far more of an idealist than Snake in MGS Peace Walker. He's more of a revolutionary, not for the liberation of citizens though. He stands for the liberation of soldiers THEMSELVES. I think you REALLY need to do a Peace Walker tribute. There aren't really any on Youutbe and it's one of the most amazing MGS games I think.
@TheTremo99 I'm not quite sure. It's from a cut scene in Portable Ops. It's the scene where Snake captures the first soldier and gives him this speech.

Still amazing after all these years. I watched this video the day it came out and many times after. It's strange how quickly time disappears.
That comment is absolutely right my friend, it is funny how quickly it goes by.

Excuses
He literally wouldn't have built his nation for soldiers without the trauma of Operation Snake Eater. That's just a matter of fact @@JohnDoe-mb1uu
