Happy birthday! I have an idea for a video: A base or fortress of some kind that is built using Redstone related blocks and blocks that look similar to the redstone blocks (for example, oak wood, slime and stone for pistons and netherite blocks for hoppers and so on). I’m not expecting a city if this idea was tackled, but do as you please. It’s just an idea that popped in my head when I saw your diamond and emerald bases…
@@Mike-mf3ed you mean like a redstone themed fortress, like there's a piston district, observer district, slime district and so on? Sounds awesome if you ask me lol
Scar once taught the community that if you want your Minecraft build to become more believable and feel actually lived in. You should make sure that any flames of fire that you place into your build, are not being blown in multiple different directions.
@@captainphoton1693 I think it means you should make your minecraft builds as if they're liveable by humans. Since it's quite easy to let your creativity and imagination roam free in MC, taking miniscule details from our natural ways of living or our lifestyles can make a build feel more realistic since we can actually picture ourselves living in said builds. Like for example, what Scar said about the fire. We can picture others or ourselves lighting up a fire for say, camping or outside cooking. But since most of us in real life take extra precaution to avoid unfortunate circumstances we create solutions to keep the fire in one place to avoid us, others, or the environment from harm. Sorry if this is too long lol.

10:37 Ballista: During the Middle Ages, it was one of the original weapons that had success against fortified castle walls throughout Europe. The most famous appearance of the ballista in the Middle Ages was the Siege of Dover in 1216, when the French were able to get through Dover Castle's walls. very cool build. i heard you say that the architecture was Greek and Roman a few times, but it’s definitely just Roman. classical Greek architecture doesn’t really use amphitheaters, and some of the buildings definitely have a very Etruscan look which would make it Roman; the Greeks never had any ideological ties/exchanges with the Etruscans. other than that, Greek and Roman architecture is very similar. but once again, good job on this.
Actually its greek architecture because the romans took many things out of the greek architecture. The only thing the greeks coulndt build where the domes
What an amazing video! I loved hearing your thought process and looking at how you plan out these projects. Would love to see more detailed analysis of how you come up with ideas and find inspiration etc ❤ Awesome work Mango!!
Interesting fact about the greek world: not only Athens had an Akropolis! Actually almost all greek cities (poleis) had an Akropolis, with the one in Athens being the one best known today. They were the last resort of Defence of a city and often contained the religious center of the city and also the treasury. A really impressive example of an Akropolis is the Akrocorinth, the Akropolis of Corinth, that towers high over the city (like literally, it’s ridiculous how one could counter that beast in the sky, look it up).
The thing is, since those are Survival servers, they usually aren't fit places for creative mode builders that use a lot of external tools and plugins such as worldedit. There are rare exceptions such as Joel who's exceptional at both survival and creative, but those examples are few and far between.
Mango: Imma build a Ancient Greek city(which Greek kingdoms usually are based around Greek Gods) Mango 5 sec later explaining that his friend who has the name of a Norse goddess created the piece of terrain he will be building the kingdom on.
*Happy Birthday Mangoman!* Incredible build as always, at that point I feel really embarassed to complement and/or criticize your builds like that considering I'm not 10% as good of a Minecraft builder as you are. But really, this city turned out absolutely glamorous. The dock area surrounded by a wall is my favourite area. I just have a few history-related tidbits to note about the city, considering it's very much inspired by greek and roman architecture. First of all, I find it rather intriguing that the city is a full mix of the Greek and Roman arstyles/architectures. They are considered pretty similar by some but that couldn't be farther from the truth, despite that the blend works really nice here. For example Palace area heavily reminds me of Athen's Acropolis, which is also a tiered palace/temple situated on a mountain at the centre of a city. The theatre you built looks very Greek-esque too, as these kinds of half-circle theatres were popular in there. The messy roads and alleyways also remind me of Ancient Greece, and the paddle ships you made are very much like those in the Argonauts' myth. Meanwhile the rest of the city is very much Roman-esque, down to white buildings with the red roof tiles and of course, the Amphitheatre _(Which for some reason everyone seems to call Colosseum, in spite of the fact that the Colosseum is just the name of the single famous one in Rome)_ is one of the most Roman things one could imagine and probably the first thing people think of when they hear the word Rome. Also, no matter how funny I find the presence of gallows in the market area *11:41* it is worth noting they weren't a form of punishement in the antiquity (Crucifiction was, instead), not like this build is supposed to be historically accurate of course. One last thing I'll mention, it would've been cool to have a sort of a ''borrough'' area to the city where the poorest people of the town would live in, because 80% of the houses being for the rich and wealthy people and 20% being for the regular citizens/common folk is not that realistic and depicts a very utopian ancient world (Which, this being a fully fictional kingdom, I'm absolutely fine with). As the build is based upon ancient Greece/Rome so much, it would've also been very cool to have an aqueduct, but perhaps I'm asking for too much. _Looks like I got carried away with writing again, so sorry for bothering._

This would take me forever, the most impressive part other than the building is that you didn't give up
Happy birthday dude. Also, can you see if you can build a galaxy theme kingdom? It is all right if you’re not able because I’ve been wanted to have a biggest gal kingdom build, but I don’t have anyone who will build it.
Happy birthday! Such ncredible hard work!
Amazing build! Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Mango, and gosh that's incredible
Beautiful, there is only one problem. The market in Ancient Greek, called “agorà” was in the center, not outside the city
A note on wording: the “Theatre “is actually an “Odeon”, the “Colosseum” is an “Amphitheatre”. Only Rome had a Colosseum, named after the Colossus of Nero.
That’s just me being nitpicky, though! Fantastic work!
your de best i have so much respect to you happy birthday even a month later
Happy birthday! This was such an amazing build :)
holy that is one of the most impressive builds I've ever seen- and that's saying something, for how many minecraft "hardcore" videos I've watched, along with all the videos from both Hermitcraft and youtubers like Jeracraft & TrixyBlox.
And happy birthday
Best play at 17:40 also happy birthday
