Pro tip: if you ever find yourself in a draft with Warlock, ask him to max fatal bonds, cast Disseminate along side a few Shadow Poison stacks if you can, on his bonded targets and if you have a level 6 Zeus, ask him to press "R".

There is a very interesting tidbit you didn't add : the dmg condition for the procs doesn't have to be from the target's opponent. That is to say, pudge rot can activate dessiminate. It gives a very interesting interaction on self-damaging heroes like Centaur and huskar.
That's some forbidden ability draft knowledge right there.
What’s the interaction with Fatal Bonds and Disseminate?

@@blasphemer_amon It's not quuiiiite exact. There IS an interaction (if I'm not wrong) in that desseminate will proc damage on everyone and fatal-bonds will proc once (though I'm unsure whether or not it procs just on one of the targets or on all). Of course, it doesn't bounce around all over because of the non-reflect flag, as you said.

Though this skill in the video is from the late 2022 patch.
2012 SD had Soul Catcher which was completely different (and bad), then reworked in 2018 to an awesome skill. Then deleted and created this current so-so Disseminate skill.
So similar to fatal bonds but in an active AoE during the duration.

Shadow Demon is one of the most slept-on heroes. He's the best counter to Bristleback, for instance, with a scepter. 21 seconds of break. Also the best hero to get a first blood with, imo.
21 seconds of break if you use all 3 charges on one hero with a long ass cooldown to get them back. He's a strong hero but his aghs needs added cd reduction on the charges for him to be more viable imo
@@9.5kmmr58 With the talent, you have 30sec cd on a charge. So if you space them out correctly, like purge (7 sec) pause (3 sec), _rinse and repeat_ , you only have those 3 seconds of uptime before the charges fill back up. That's the opposite of long ass.
Granted, this scenario is happening in a vaccuum, but it's a pretty achievable vaccuum. Especially if you picked just for this specific counter. The one thing that makes this strat op in my mind is that it goes through bkb too, and you have 2(3) other spells to break a linken.
You can also dispell goo stacks with the shard.
I would also suggest there aren't many heroes that you can't solo kill with SD. My go-to items are meteor hammer, aghs and manta.
EDIT: I also get octarine, so those 3 seconds of uptime aren't even a thing.

@@durere The talent is level 20(?), and octarine AND aghs on SD is alot of gold even assuming he skips basic support items like glimmer force. His hero needs a buff to make it more accessible without that much xp and gold.

Back then it was just this thing you cast while someone was inside the ball, they changed it too much
It was to burst them fast. It reduce 45% of current hp and pure damage

disruptor,shadow demon and bane is one one of the first 3 hero in my mind if enemy picks an unstoppable hero their mechanics can turn the tide

I decided to watch this video even though I know I won't remember any of it when I play Shadow Demon again.
Basically also act as Blademail when used on Allies. Great to counter ganks specially when they target Tank.
note: this spell also works with "self damage" (like pudge rot)

ive been spammnig SD since few months ago,only turbo and i think he is VERY underrated hero,such strong disable,save,dmg amp,dispells and best anti melee carry on 21 sec with ags amazing hero

Interesting. I thought they changed this spell completely to a pseudo fatal bonds, but the fact that the target stilll receives the extra damage means it still lets you burst down single targets. I'm quite surprised with how much utility they were able to pack into what once was a very generic spell.

Maledict is pretty simple. Enemy takes more maledict damage if more damage is done since you casted maledict to the enemy. So its best to burst the enemy if you casted maledict. Using Maledict and not damaging the enemy wont have huge damage.

Could you make a video about how skewer works? I have absolutely no idea what spells stop him from skewering your Ally back. While hex or most stuns like impale do stop it, disruption or even magnus dying doesn't stop allies from getting skewered...

The old Soul Catcher was shit since it was an aoe that would pick someone randomly and apply a 50% damage amp, which would ALWAYS go on someone you didn't intended to rofl..
Then they reworked into the AWESOME version of Soul Catcher: a small aoe that applied effect to everyone in it, for a flat 35% HP removal plus magic amp for SD.
That was hard to land but the best of the versions, IMHO.i t was so pretty see a meepo stack and you use W on them, all would lose a shitton amount of hp, and make meepo panic.
Now is this weird Fatal Bonds like skill. I just don't enjoy that you must use the ULT (7sec duration), then wait a bit before you can use Disseminate (6sec duration), otherwise Disseminate will end before the Ult nuke happens (and then damage won't disseminate). Or you can cast a second ult on top (if you have aghs), it'll trigger the first ult damage but won't be a full damage since it ramps up from dmg to max during 7 secs. Now, on allies it basically works as a Blade Mail.
I miss HP Removal Soul Catcher.
