    I remember that horrid Jacinda Ardern walking out from a meeting (3 hours long) with Black Rock in the US and declaring “we had an interesting and productive meeting where we’ve had commitments of substantial investment in NZ” ,don’t people recall that ? well here’s another result of the incompetence of that terrible time in our country where our leader sold us out..

      Or more recently the photo Luxon tweeted out of himself with Ceo Larry Fink. Left or right they all work for the same people, and it's not the citizens of NZ.
      "Great to meet with Larry Fink, CEO of
      @BlackRock
      . We discussed the global and New Zealand economy, and how New Zealand can attract more investment to strengthen our economy at home." ~ Luxon

      I’m sure Jacinda is being well rewarded for destroying our economy, gas extraction and exploration, refinery, and lots and lots of government assistance to foreign owned companies who then proceeded to screw NZ and walk away , also there is the sale of farm land to off shore interests that then plant trees like red woods the policies for which is the sale of green credits internationally - we lose our agricultural land for ever and all and any benefit is between off shore company to off shore company for the next 30 years -
      Thanks Jacinda and greens for less than nothing

    It would be really interesting to see who were the two NZ investors who profitted from the sale of Solar Zero to Blackrock. Jacinda’s connection to Solar Zero actually goes way back to Labour’ disinformation consultant in London who moved to NZ. Huge distribution of capital in NZ after the sale and the closure of the company.

    Why do some folks think the Government funds (tax take) should be used when private orgs would not fund a scheme - unless there is a clear benefit to the taxpayers. It appears a lack of commercial acumen by the decision makers ( who probably are paid considerable sums ). Hmmmn !

      How do we know climate change is caused by humans?
      1. We know that CO2 absorbs infrared radiation and then passes this energy to other molecules, N2 & O2, in the atmosphere. This is how the atmosphere is warming up.
      2. We know that the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing. The measurements go back decades.
      3. We know the oceans are absorbing the CO2 and becoming acidic. The energy from the sun would not have this effect.
      4. We know the additional CO2 in the atmosphere come from fossil fuels. Carbon 13 in the atmosphere is increasing. This is from the carbon 13 being released that had been trapped in plants from millions of years ago.
      5. Stratospheric cooling that was predicted in 1967. If the energy was coming from the sun, then the stratosphere would also warm.
      This is further explained in the following video:

    I try to keep an eye on reports of how accurate earlier climate modelling turns out to be, and all I've ever seen are that the earlier estimates of temperature increase, sea level rise, glacier and sea-ice loss, permafrost melt etc. have turned out to be too conservative. If Sean is referring to any credible, consensus modelling that has turned out to be inaccurately extreme I would be genuinely interested to know what they are.
    Also; Sean's preamble to inviting his guest to deny the existence of a serious climate change threat, saying that the US election somehow changes things, is weirdly detached from the need to stay clear-eyed about the science and avoiding attaching the issue to partisan politics. Sean likes people to stay in their lane except when it's him opining ignorantly on climate change. It's a good sign for NZ that his guest thought better of taking Sean's bait; Todd either accepts the science and/or thinks that plenty of Kiwis do. This is important because climate change is real, and serious. Both panic and inaction are foolish - we should all do what we can for our kids' sake.

      The 'experts' reckoned that the hole over us was caused by CRC's. The stuff was banned in 1986, and whoopie, we're all going to avoid getting fried by UV. In1984 , when the hole got to the same area as OZ, SPF15 was supposed to protect us, then SPF30, SPF50, and now SPF60. It's monitored daily, but if you ask the 'experts' they don't want to talk about it. I'm still waiting for year 2000 when crude oil will all be used up, and preparing for the Y2K catastrophe. Got to believe those 'experts'. Oh, and the Great Barrier Reef died 35 years ago from global warming. The biggest threat to the planet is all the BS.
