TWICE hosted a special live stream to celebrate their sixty anniversary called “H6ME PARTY with 6NCE.” During the live stream, they treated ONCE to a special performance of an unreleased English song called “Candy.” (now is released in the album formula of love) is not the first time TWICE gave ONCE a special song as a gift. Our fan official song is ofc in Korean and is “One in a Million,” and our fan song in Japanese is “Be as One,” and “Candy” is Our fan song in english, were very much appreciated and loved by TWICE, as they always released songs thinking of us

one thing i noticed the most throughout the performance, jihyo utilize her vibrato very well. she has a lot of parts here that make her voice stand out, like girl just belts out all those notes in 30 mins of continuous singing with that vocal control
God Jihyo, Nayeon, and Jeongyeon have fantastic voices! All 9 sounds beautiful, but these 3 really have extra special vocal talent!
i know! aside from obviously jihyo belting away perfectly, she's such a unique artist because she's an atmospheric singer. alot of artist can sing but they cant set a mood with their voice, that's why she's so great at multiple genres. yes she has that disney character voice

yes, honestly this killing voice solidified for me how much i like jihyo's voice, it's this open quality! i love it when jihyo uses her full well rounded voice, i love singer that is properly supporting their belts and you can see how she's holding that time really really nicely. i first notice that when she joined masked singer way way back. she's quite belty in her approach and always trying to support and give like a full resonance into her singing. she also has strong onsets and strong finish, very attentive to everything she sings

If I'm not mistaken, Nayeon said on her Bubble to Onces that when they record this Killing Voice video, they had to sing 2 or 3 times, including rehearsals and this actual video that uploaded, so she said her throat hurt a bit that day (maybe bcs they have to sing 100% live in this Killing Voice), it's very understandable because listen to every part of her, really high for every song 😅

yeah jihyo is such a powerhouse vocalist and also very jazzy and soulful. she know how much volume she need to put, the best part is her voice sound so full when hitting high note! one of the best belter i've ever heard in kpop
100% agreed, one of my favorite korean vocalist for sure, more than power, as you say, she has this tone and this control that is really impressive ❤

I don't think people realize just HOW MUCH singing they have been doing!! They have been on tour for a year singing 3 hours each show, plus warm-ups and soundcheck rehearsals, then they have all kinds of promo stuff they do that requires singing (just like this show). I can't imagine how exhausted their voices must be at times. And yet, they have just gotten stronger and stronger over time with great vocals!

5:52 I had a flashback with you talking about cute things, I remembered a few days ago that there was a behind them learning the choreography of one spark on the twice channel and they were deciding on the ending fairy and they could only think of cute things and in the end they decided on one there and they loved it, jeongyeon comes to the camera laughing and says "we like cute things" and it was cute, even after years and now doing a more "adult" / mature concept, and they are all so much older, Nayeon is already close to 30, but the essence of liking and acting cute (naturally) hasn't left them since their debut

I went to Twice's Ready To Be tour in Manila last year in October and I'm telling you, THEY SOUND EXACTLY LIKE THIS. Well, of course, this is edited to perfection but I assure you, they sound like this in their concerts, plus slight voice cracks here and there which is normal because they do their choreography most of the time.

They also have this segment at the last part of the concert where they spin a wheel/roulette full of bsides and perform whichever comes off of it (Nayeon usually rigs it and just chooses which song gets the most cheer LMFAO). I got BDZ and HOT during my show and it was so good. They literally performed it without any backtrack so you can really hear them so clearly. Which is insane to me because they really sound like the og recording despite dancing during it as well. Attending a TWICE concert should be in everyone's bucket list tbh HSHSHS

Its very live, they r so good in this session that confused some people, , in 9 years they improved alot especially Tzuyu and momo, gosh momo is like she unlocked the full potential or something like a cheat code. Jihyo is a powerhouse, Momo shocked me the most in this session, sana high pitch voice improved alot, nayeon singing is always effortless and flawless, mina calm as always not giving any shits , jeongyeon still the most underrated kpop vocals, dubu is an alrounder she can do anything , i always believe that chae's vocals better than her rapping it dosent mean her rapping is bad or anything.

I into Twice when they more mature concept in 2021 with alcohol free. Even I don't like when they debuted with cutesy concept but we can't deny their song always hits, and playing in my head when it was out.
24:25 the lyrics in this song have significant meaning. Feel Special was written by JYP , and he based it off of conversations he had with each of the members. All nine members have lines in the song that can be drawn back to their own personal struggles. 2019 was an especially rough year as the world threw unnecessary and ignorant hatred at the girls. All the girls were struggling mentally and emotionally, but Sana‘s situation caught JYP’s attention the most. Sana is the definition of sunshine, a ball of bubbly energy that never fails to brighten up everyone’s day. But after experiencing wave upon wave of negativity and hatred in 2019, it was only natural that there was a time when her smile lost some of its shine.However, the rest of TWICE were constantly by her side, reminding her of how precious she was and showering her with love. maybe the general population likes flawlessness better, but as someone who sings myself, I like to see the effort I hear on the face I hear it from, idk it hits right than just trying to be "idol faced" all the time. Like if you show effort and sing, it won't make you look ugly, if anything I'd say it adds character which I'd say (hot take perhaps) a lot of kpop acts lack, more so to how they are trained than the artists themselves to be doll faced at all times. Also why power house singers are usually always on top of my lists, and also why my favourite in Twice is Jihyo. (random rant)
100% agree! Seeing the actual throat moving, the face getting through it while doing high notes or just feeling the music! That's why acoustic versions and live acoustic are so interesting, because you can really hear singers SING!

5:42 Regarding the change in reaction to some of Twice's "cringe"-ier songs/parts, it could be a change in our taste. However, I feel it could also be in part because Twice have now been around long enough and have proven themselves to actually be really talented and now have the diverse body of work to showcase their skills and ability to not rely solely on cuteness alone. Thus, it's much easier to appreciate and enjoy the cringe because we know they are more than capable of doing other stuff too.

I would much rather hear the human voice coming from the person - the human voice with variations and maybe a mistake every now and then - rather than a perfect AI-generated voice. When I hear any idol sing "Live" I want to actually hear them breathe into the mics.
I don't know why k-pop fans seem to think that it's possible to sound like the CD when you're dancing and singing live, or why they seem to think that Not sounding like the CD is bad.
People really need to get over that perfectionist streak. :/
Omg seriously can't agree any harder lolz!! We have become OBSESSED with perfection in music with vocals and it has resulted in such a weird, lifeless, soulless product. Like, yes recordings of songs have always been far more "perfect" sounding than a straight "live take" but at least back in, let's say, the 90s they would still have the singer sound somewhat natural. They didn't add a billion levels of compression, they didn't pitch correct every single micro-second, etc. And imo it sounds soooooooo much better that way! But today, because we have added so much post-production to vocals, whenever an artist sings love they get SHREDDED by fans and the general public because they aren't used to what a real voice sounds like! It's an awful cycle and it's the reason so many idols and artists just lipsync or have heavy backing tracks-- because if they do choose to sing live they will get trashed even if they do a good job!!! I hate it lol
Omggggg Candy is one of my ALL TIME FAVE TWICE SONGS!! It is literally ear candy lolzzzzz! It is so sweet and dreamy and the harmonies are luscious and beautiful.
OK last comment (good grief I left so many lolz) but yes!! We always learn interesting things from your reactions! We learn things about vocal tone, pitch, breath control, different insights into the music itself, and even little tips like the "bending knees" trick.
Yes! The voice is a muscle and sometimes it's not perfect, voices have textures and defaults and it's okay! I also love hearing artists really singing live! I also completely understand when they don't because of hard choreos!
I mean, yes I agree and I don't! Between the 70s and 90s, singers were very often just doing a play back and never singing live, in a lot of 80s "live version" stage, singers didn't even have a mic! Nowadays I think it's mainly because people and even artists themselves want to be "perfect" but perfection doesn't exist and it's OKAY! You can't fake dancing but you can fake singing so in the last few years, I feel like kpop companies really focused on dancing and performance, but wayyy less on the vocals and it SHOWS! I feel we are now going in another period with idols that are extremely talented in every aspect, forgetting the traditional roles of "rapper/dancer/visual/singer ect" but they can just do EVERYTHING which is obviously really impressive but I'm glad we can find amazing singers! Take Baby monster, they have crazy good vocalists!
