Oh what an adorable little book to tuck into your purse . I'm always writing lists on odd pieces of paper anyway so why not turn it into an adorable junk journal looking notebook. With that thick of a spine, I think I might put in two or three signatures with between 6 and 8 pages. I just love your ideas and knowing you can literally make something cute out of junk around the house. No need to keep running to the craft store when I have a never-ending supply of scraps.🤣😊😁❤💙💜💖

These are just so cool--and quick to make means they will be my new obsession! I love that they are a stand alone or tuckable. As a newbie to junk journal making I need items that help me hone my skills, these are the perfect practice books. I am making some of your journalettes for my granddaughter's birthday (8 yrs and the perfect age to become obsessed with journaling) and so I have lots of 1/2 folders hanging around. The practice books are going to be party favors for her "Tea in Paris" birthday party. Thank you for sharing! Now on to join your facebook group (if this granny can figure out how).

Hello Pam. I love watching your vids...then watching again. A little irony for you, I once owned a Perot (sun conure) named Sunshine. I have a craft idea for you. I don’t hide my staples on my spines. I use glitter nail polish and paint them before I add them to the stapler. I get cool colors for pennies at yard sales

Thank you Pam I'm going to give these a try. Great idea about putting A-line of glue down the spine before you sit the paper on the cover. If I'm always wiggles and jiggles out of place when I'm trying to sew it.

This little book is so pretty.. The aged mahogany ink is the perfect match to the fabric that you chose for the spine. it looks to me like you have enough room in this book to add two more signatures.
I just wanted to tell you how I use my glue soaked baby wipes.. I cut them into strips and make tiny rolled roses. you can color the stripes any color that you choose before or after you make the roses you do have to add a little glue as you wrap them so that they stick into the shape of the flower
The idea book is an awesome suggestion. Right now mine is on my phone, but id like to have the storage the it's taking free for something else

Only just started make my journals, have one finished and making a more arty one with less writing this time around.
Hubby has referred over the weeks to "that book" as I have been sat writing or as he called it Fiddling. (I think he was jealous, ha)
Any hoo, he recently asked if I could make him one to document the virus and the things happening in the world because of it.
I looked and looked for a butch journal and then looked more. Then I remembered some wallpaper I got, it is library shelves and the books are in all differing directions on the shelves. The background is dark brown with browns, gold's, blues and fuchia books about 6" tall. So I had a cutting session and had to collage some books to fit the front. But goodness me it's my favourite. Used brown wrapping paper for inside covers. Pages I kept relatively plain but with cruise ship cabin illustrations, maps and puzzle pages to break up the writing pages. I took him it with an option of a fuchia or turquoise butterfly cut from the same wallpaper and he wanted both. So not such a Butch Journal, I keep looking at it and wanting to keep it. Ha!!!
What a fabulous idea for your husband. Many men love to write also, but not so much in a book full of flowers, ribbons, and laces for the most part.

Brand new to your channel. Love your chatter about the bone dry baby wipe, “Must be yesterday’s wipe” yep, that would be my world. I love this little notebook. I would love one for my purse. Although I already have two other ones. But the one I find the first, I use. LOL. I have just recently gotten into stencils and have a nice, beginner collection. They will be fun to use on this. I'm not too sure about that "miserable" part. This can be a wonderful break from the ordinary with more time for EXTRAordinary discoveries and creative endeavors. Instead of daydreaming about our future projects, we now have time for those experiences. Let's focus on what we have gained rather than what has been lost.

Yep, I'm addicted, lol. Love watching what you come up with. I searched for a good guilding wax and settled on DecoArt's metallic lustre, for the cost and performance it's one of the tops. Prima has their Finnabair and ArtAlchemy metallic waxes that are also good. I use the ArtDeco because I can find it at Hobby Lobby and it's the cheaper of the three. Of course you can always male your own, lol. Yep, done that too.

Love it. I made something similar last year for my daughter’s birthday girl’s weekend. All recipients loved it. My edges were not torn- I think that increases the WOW factor! TFS.
