I'm in the Des Moines Iowa area, it was extremely cold last winter, Jan '24. Me being an animal lover wondered how cows stay warm, I read that cows take turns keeping their rear ends to the cold wind and change around ever so often. I've noticed that large farms don't seem to have enough barn space to bring them in but like you're saying, their bodies must adjust to the temperatures or they would freeze to death. The actual temperature in January '24 was -30-40*. That's very cold, even for Iowans.
I want to learn farming and passionate about this i can spend few months on the farm and learn about great farming then i can start my iwn farm in future,if you giys jave any place around england please let me know so o can join thanks
Very informative...liked seeing the water tank setup and seeing the cows actually laying in the bedding outside.
