Thanks 🙏. The printing of 's' as refembling an 'f' (or "long s") is a typographical feature of moft early printed works until the late 18th century. It's confufing at firft but you get ufed to it after reading a bunch of texts printed that way.
The long s and short (modern) s always coexisted till John Bell. The main rule for its use was that it was used always except at the end of a word. So, "Moft unneceffarily this example is given". However, it differs from the "s" in that the stem goes only halfway though--if present at all.
