It's not just that Eminem's her dad...it's also that he put her and Kim's name out there quite a bit and they became part of pop culture in a way. I can see why that would be weird, and why she wouldn't really want that. It wasn't her career, and it wasn't her choice. Wish her well.

I could only imagine what it would be like to have a celebrity parent especially one with a name and following like Eminem. If I was asked all the time about my famous parent, I would probably get so annoyed and tired of it to the point of not getting out, but then again I would use that to get what I want in life. She is so humble about it but you can tell it bothers her.

As a parent to teens and newborn on the way yeah…we protective but our kids like, “that was your time.” They don’t all want to live right under their parents shadow and I get it! I can understand her frustration. However, she's where she's at because of her Dad. I wish my Dad would have been there for me in any capacity. He was a dirt bag! It's fine he never paid child support, however, he could have been there in other ways. He chose not to be. God knows I needed him! Hailie's lucky. Her Dad took in her cousin and half sister. Wow! How many of us can say that about our real Dads? It's only natural to be curious about Em because he's very private and he has every right to be. It doesn't mean people are going to stop asking or that they don't care. I'm sure as time goes on, it won't be as bad. However, she should be proud that people care about her Dad and with that will care about what she has to say!

Aw I’ve listened to the podcast a little here and there and I’m sure she gets a lot of attention just being the daughter of one of the biggest rappers ever, she almost the internet’s niece we’ve been following since she’s small so like she said she understands why some ask the questions they ask but I’m sure plenty forget that she’s not actually their niece and there are boundaries. I’ve only heard a little of her podcast, I wanted to support more but I’m almost 36 and hailie is still young, we’re at different stages in life so I wish her all the best and I’ll listen here and there just to support and see what’s going on with her, she has every right to want to be her own person. I hate people make it seem like she’s using his name and offering nothing else when she’s at the stage of her life where she’s figuring it out and plenty of your kids would do the same except you’re no one to anyone so they’re just making their way on their own lol. Give her a break, at least she doesn’t seem like a complete brat, she’s been afforded a life where she can take her time to figure it out.

Some people's critical thinking skills are not up to par reading these comments... the whole meaning behind the name "just A LITTLE shady" is exactly what she's describing in the video. Of course she knows everyone knows her for her dad and she expects questions about him, but her whole purpose is not just her dad, she's her own person too. Hence just A LITTLE shady. There needs to be a balance.

To everyone who wants to twist everything she said in the comments: She was talking about GROWING UP people would often always ask her about her dad and his songs and probably about their family drama. As a kid, I'm sure that would get annoying. She never said she doesn't want people to know that she is his daughter. Just because she made a cute sign referencing her dad, which she KNOWS is why people will click in the first place, doesn't mean she couldn't have also felt conflicted growing up when people would always want to know about her dad. Its literally her dads fault bc hes constantly mentioned her in songs and the rappers he beefed with have mentioned her too. When she grew up in highschool and college kids made a huge deal over her, stalked and took pics of her. Al of that is out her control. There was also an account impersonating her for YEARS and tried to get her involved with rap beef. Perhaps she made her own platform to have a little control and express who she is as a person instead of just being known as “eminems daughter.”

Her father saved life's of those that were on the edge. with his lyrics he saved people and doesnt even know it. She should be proud her father helped people and Made people happy in times that were unbearable. Certain songs like going through changes are eternal for some. I live 10 minutes from them but would never bother them if i seen them in public. Not because I wouldn't be excited to see him or her but after what that crazy home invader guy did at his private home I wouldn't want to intrude and make them uncomfortable. Hailie using the reference "Shady" as part of her podcast name isn't an issue and it certainly doesn't define her individuality as a young woman. By Hailie using the reference she did she's simply making the best out of the situation as she'll always be tied to her fathers fame in some way or another so there's truly no escape even though she lives her life seperate from the spotlight.
