Your the only other person, I have seen online, who wets their marabou as they tie their fly. And most people can't whip finish the fly by hand. They always use a tool. Good looking fly! Thanks for sharing.
I don't think so at all. I just compared it to a Gamakatsu B10S in size 2 and they are pretty much the same. It is heavier wire than Gamakatsu T10-6H salmon hook in size 2.
