Humans are notoriously bad at being random. This dude wrote an algorithm stratergy that can be applied to AI. To help police and special forces determin in a crowd where a terrorist most likely entering, going and exiting and so on. That's the real cool part.
I've got a slightly innovative hack I used to use when I was a kid. Take two sheets of paper place one on top of the page and one on the bottom with a bit of space in between to see that section of the page. Move both pages down little by little while scanning and with much less "visual noise" in the way you'll find Waldo consistently faster.
I was never that great at finding Waldo but I still loved these books just to look at the pictures. There was always funny little things going on in the background with all the random characters.

Some of them were closer to riddles too I think like "find out who stole the whatever" and you'd spend a good length of time on every page trying to find all of the items and seeing all of the Easter eggs in the art. It was amazing as a kid.
I think Waldo is currently moving through the multiverse, trying to find the fastest way into our reality so he can hunt down everyone who has ever looked for him.

It's not just the massive quantity of sensory information we're receiving on a _constant_ basis, but the fact that it is instantly comparing and correlating it with information we have already accumulated in order to contextualize it for understanding. Then add our conscious thought processes to the mix, while handling our involuntary biological functions... in real time.
