    That spreadsheet is so aesthetically pleasing! Made me wanna start studying for the MCAT this morning and I don't even take it until next May lmao. I'll definitely be referring back to this!

    My schedule was actually very similar and very detailed with what I would focus on each day. I scheduled one off day each week and one "Catch Up" day each week which was SUPER HELPFUL and I highly recommend it. I also added a little color to mine just to make it more exciting to look at lol but overall my schedule was pretty similar. I focused more on my Kaplan full lengths and a month out I began using my AAMC full lengths.

    This is great!! My MCAT is 2 months away and I’ve been reviewing but I love the way you set up your study schedule, I’m going to use this as my guide for the next two months

    definitely feeling the burnout you’re talking about😭😭 trying real hard to study efficiently while not getting too stressed

      It’s almost inevitable so don’t feel bad about feeling worn down! It’s okay to take time to recoup. Then, when you get back to work you’ll be much more efficient and enjoy the process that much more! Day’s off aren’t just okay, they’re critical! 🙌🏽

    Any advice for not running out of time when taking practice tests?

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s definitely something you can expect early on. I would suggest giving yourself about a minute and a half per question when you’re practicing and when that 1:30 is up to choose what you think is best and then move on. You can jot down what questions you had to rush on and come back to them at the end if there is time left, but it will train you to move quickly through the question. Hope this helps! 🙌🏽

    I started last week, i read one chPter per day . I only amswer the questions at the end of each chapter. Where i can find more questions to practice st the end of each chapter , please?
    I thaught to buy AAMC book but they are so many of them,.
    Hard to know which book to purchase to practice more at the end of each chapter!

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would recommend doing full length practice exams and using the AAMC materials for question banks. I used the Princeton review study materials and had access to online practice exams and found that very helpful. I think full length practice exams are more beneficial than doing a few practice questions at a time.

    I have a question even though it’s not MCAT related. I’m taking gen chem 2 now with bio 1. In the summer I was supposed to take orgo 1 with bio 2, but the time for orgo is clashing with my other classes. What would you suggest? Do you thing not taking orgo will put me behind or set me back? I was thinking replacing them with anatomy and physiology. Please give me any suggestions. Thank you and keep up the good work.

    • @EvolvingMedic
      @EvolvingMedic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! That’s a good question! I personally would suggest taking Orgo when you don’t have as many time consuming classes on your plate. I took it in the summer when I was in undergrad and that was great because I had a much smaller load than in the fall/spring semesters. You will have to take Orgo at some point but will not necessarily have to take anatomy/physiology (even though those are great classes to take) so I would prioritize Orgo over those.

      @@EvolvingMedic How many gap years did you take? I am currently on the fence between one and two. How much does what you do matter in your gap year(s)? I really want to get involved in some type of clinical research, but I also received an offer for a coteaching position in a charter school where I would teach grades 2-4. Teaching is not directly related to medicine aside from interaction with kids, and so I am not entirely sure if this will be frowned upon.
