My First Time Trucking John Deere 850J Dozer on the Lowboy

- Well, that did NOT go to plan. Today I'm hauling excavation equipment for dirt perfect with his Mack truck and his detach low boy trailer. The equipment list is the John Deere 120 excavator, John Deere 850J bulldozer, and Volvo 140 Excavator. Definitely getting into some tight driveways and still trying to work through the process of hooking and unhooking the trailer makes for an interesting day of trucking. Hope you enjoy!

If both the controls are backwards, DP's hydraulic lines off the truck are hooked to the trailer backwards. Also didn't he run over the broom you had on the last trailer? We all have those days, Monday I had to chain up after I got stuck in two inches of slime. Just enough rain to turn the dirt into grease. Thanks for always taking us along on your adventures.
Drag that bell tower to new location before removing the bracing. Figure out how to pressure wash and paint there. I would hate to see it twisted while moving to new location.

Hope your septic inspections all passed. I remember You were under a time crunch to get it all done by the end of Oct. Waiting to see you drive something across the bridge when You get the far side ramp done. Great content today.
Septic system all passed and is good! The ramp is not finished yet but hope to work on it soon!

captain kleeman, i think i got it.? in frame 15:45/28:44 just to your right those two cut outs on front of that bulldozer are the anchor points for transit. if you hook onto the tracks you might have them come off when tightening those ratchet things.? 👈👺👀👀

I'll have to say I had a bad feeling when I first saw the septic tank lid sitting on the "loading end" of that trailer. Not to say I don't load all I can (I've been hauling everything I own 200+ miles over the last couple of months), and sometimes forget that tractor implements and furniture aren't necessarily compatible flatbed partners.🙄 (Want a slightly damaged computer table? Should fit in a large manilla envelope, I can mail it to you.)

Did the two things my drivering instructor said don't be a ???? Take a shunt and second is G.O.A.L.. why not surgest a boxing ring (storage box) up on top of the swan neck or a brush and shovel rack up on the Mack's mud wings
I know exactly what you mean by having 24 hrs to kill. I spent 30 years doing that and had quite a few "projects" taken care of in those 24 hrs.

you could have set the lid on the back of the trailer and you need a broom and a shovel to be able to clean the tracks and the trailer

I was thinking while you were cleaning the dirt off the Dozer, I cleaned so many tracks in my 20 years I told the powers that be when I got to old to clean Tracks, I was going to quit being the Lowboy guy and become an Operator!!

They are still pretty good, he did just put a whole new set of drives on which is awesome. I’m sure the steer tires will be coming soon
lots of preplanning when you are using such a trailer good work , now if the store would put in a truck & equipment friendly fuel pumps life would be easier
What’s unfriendly about the pumps? Can pull fully loaded trucks underneath, doesn’t get much more friendly than that 😂

Don't you know just how dangerous it is to jinks yourself saying it's going to be a good day? 🙃 When I saw the sewer lid, I was reminded of that old movie cliche: "I have a baaaaaad feeling about this!" You did not disappoint.😂🤣. It would take me a year to memorize how to hook and unhook that trailer. I thought you did excellent for only using it 3 times.

The seconds immediately after dropping the dozer and leaving the customer's driveway with the "Wide Load" signs still up reminds me of driving home from Purdue to Seymour many years ago. I spent a semester between internships where I did the 150+ miles each way 3 days a week. One trip home, it was almost 5pm, and I saw a flatbed trailer with the wide load signs, but without any visible load. I could see straps shaking in the wind whenever he was passed, but it took several miles for me to catch up. Once I did, I almost went into the median laughing because the driver had strapped down a Tonka dump truck to the lowboy trailer :)

You aren’t the only one with that luck. If something can go wrong it will happen to me also. Glad it didn’t have to come out of your pocket. That’s why it’s always good to keep things “just incase I need it”
