I spotted a wonderful pet portrait at Goodwill of two dogs laying on gorgeous furniture. It was done in acrylics or oils of the obviously beloved pets. It went weeks in the GW with no one buying it, so I did. I just hated it that this expensive pet portrait of these two adorable dogs was headed to the bins before long. I presented it to my vet on my next visit and it is hanging on their wall now.
Oh, how sweet. I love the cats dressed in Victorian clothes with the big ruffle collars.

I took a piece of plastic canvas and glued to a backless frame, for my earrings.
Ah, the thrill of the hunt! I picked up a bag of 13 Jonathan Adler porcelain ornaments for $6 (less than 50 cents each) and they're selling for $20-40 each. I doubt I can let any of them go, though. I love his designs and they're gorgeous. As always, thanks for sharing your treasures! 💙

I was proud of myself today. Left the Longaberger ceramics on the shelf (no sales outlet anymore since I don't sell on line any more) but did nab the mint condition bright blue Viking compote. Proud of myself because I knew it on sight. Spent $3. No carts rolled out at all while I was there. RE: lightweight items ... that's what jewelry is for!

The puppy dog painting is adorable but when you go to list it… list it as a staffordshire terrier… people confuse the pitties and staffys all the time and you may get a higher price if more staffy people see it. You probably already know this, but just trying to help :)

The pink cat was probably a vintage earring holder. I had something like that in the 70s.
At 4:52, that tall pottery that you called a vase-it had such a small hole in the top I wonder if it wasn’t actually for a gazing ball. The ball’s protruding base would fit in that hole to make it more secure. Just a thought 🤷♀️

The hot pink googly eye owl might be much older than you think. It reminds me of something from my childhood ( like 60's, 70's era. Im in my sixties now) we had something very similar, itvwas to hold your post earrings to display and keep from losing them.
Small vintage wooden plaque...not good, not bad, half(assed) is the pun there. It was a very popular saying on a lot of kitchen plaques 😀

That vase you put back before you picked up the Raku vase is a hand thrown wood fired salt glazed vase. Most likely made in Seagrove NC. There is a market for wood fired pottery. You probably could have fetched ~$30 for it.

I saw a vintage (possibly metal) globe on the bottom of fresh cart as you grabbed the Santa. I love globes and have to admit I may have too many, lol. They make awesome decorations, especially in groupings of different sizes and colors. Some are worth flipping, especially Reploge globes. It's also fun to date them by using the Reploge website section that helps identify time periods based on country name changes. Your kiddos can be challenged to find the countries and do the research. Set a timer and see who can arrive at the correct year first. I find them extremely interesting ❣️

Jocelyn, at one point you pass by a stack of plates on the bottom shelf; there is an image of Rhett Butler and Mamy from Gone with the Wind. Those plates are crazy expensive and you can get $30+ (and way more!) for some of them! Go back and find! 😄

I’ve been watching you for years- I always am confused that you tend to dismiss clear glassware- I love the way the clear, cut glass looks when lit in my china cabinet! I love watching your TH-cam channel and love watching your family as they grow!
There’s not a lot of resale value in clear glass. I think that’s why a lot of resellers don’t mess with it. I don’t know why there isn’t any value in it, I agree with you, it’s beautiful.
I have 2 beautiful cut clear glass bowls just sitting in my eBay store. No interest.
I just sold, on eBay, a clear, etched crystal rose bowl for $45 within hours of listing it. Paid $5 at Goodwill. I must’ve underpriced it.
I also sell clear stemware replacement pieces. Maybe clear glass sells for me because I love it and therefore write enthusiastic descriptions.

@@shermoe7210 I sometimes think we place too much value on whether a piece was made by a someone famous rather than Joe-down-the-high-street. Even famous artists have their off days, while Joe can sometimes create a thing of beauty. Which, for me, that rhino certainly was.
I dont understand why things that say Not for Food Use is bad. Especially for a Vase or other decoration.
