- This battery was only 170 dollar I figured it was worth testing to see if it’s any good, so far so good. I’m going to use it for some projects and see how it holds up.

I built a bank using SLA's 3 years ago. Was waiting till the LiFePO4 came down to what the SLA's were. Now is that time. 2024 will be the year of the LiFePO4.
Yes sir and they’re only getting cheaper and better! Yes your lead batteries then scrap them for some money toward your lithium. Good luck!
I’ve got 4 of these , been using them for 6 months! Fantastic 😊😊😊
Glad to hear! I hope they last many years
I've got 4 of these also, and I would like to know how did you wired yours 24v or 48v?
Looks decent for the price. HQST is selling the same thing for $180 and is a brand I have a little more faith in - same parent company as Renogy.
I have 4 of these, been using them to power my off grid house. I have many more 48v batteries also. I will use them for the house in the winter, and for my Ryobi zero turn 54" mower in the summer.
That should work really well, glad to hear!
You got lucky lol I did the same test and a teardown and it not good they are using b cells and I got 89 on a full charge. And dealing with customer service and OOF. I had to confirm my address 3 times only to have issue with pick up from Fed ex. Want to guess the issue the Label was never sent to return it. So I am glad you got a good one out of the box.
Sorry to hear that man, yea I’ve heard it’s hit or miss, I have low expectations going into these cheap batteries. As long as I get a few years of use out of it I’m happy
Kind of drives you nuts with all these no-name brands nowadays, right? They might be good or they might be bad, but with a name like that there's little hope of building long term brand loyalty. My problem with this type of naming scheme is there's no accountability - if they build them poorly and have a rash of failures, no problem! Just kill that name and pick another strange combination of letters from the bucket and keep on selling the same junk with the new name. The BMS is striking me initially as a JBD but there are so many knockoffs nowadays it's impossible to say for sure without a teardown. Also the cells could be any number of manufacturers - if you got CATL or EVE cells you've already won the game. I'm glad it pulled full capacity, consider yourself lucky.
Yea that’s true, pretty much buy one with good reviews and hope for the best, heck even some name brand stuff is a rebrand of things like this, but they may offer a warranty.
Are they even using the same parts all the time? Or do they use the cheapest parts they can get this week?
I came to hear him try and pronounce the brand name 😂
Did he say it ?
I don't think it's pronounceable😅
I can't seem to even find it on amazon :(
Their instructions show pretty low discharge/charge rates. But...they bay be toe only honest retailers of 100 amp LIFEPO4 batteries if one wants the battery to last. Some of the consumer grade LIFEPO4 batteries BMS are now set to allow way more than 100 amps out for a long time, or forever. I doubt the battery cells have changed. Probably the only change is in the advertising and BMS setting. Like to see how a 100 amp battery often charged at 100 amps and discharged at 200 amps does in 2 years.

Agreed, yea on cheaper batteries going easy on it you will get a lot more life from it. We’ll see how it holds up I’ll update in a year
They are 189 on amazon now
Amazon shows 170.99, 189.99 and 195.99 all on the opening page (as of 1645HRS 13MAY24)

Do you have a link to that shunt your using?

@@Mikebuildss Thank you!
How would these work as a automobile starting battery (especially in cold weather!!)
I don’t think it would work, it can only supply 100 amps and a starter pulls a few hundred amps
Your bottle neck is the BMS. Prismatic cells can discharge at high currents, so that would be ok. A BMS that can handle 400A will be expensive. And you do need a BMS with LiFePO4 cells.
No
No
Can this be charged safely from a truck 12 volt alternator without any special charge controllers?
No because the battery will pull so many amps it will damage the alternator. They make dc to dc charge controllers that will work in that situation
No all LifePo4's need a DC to DC converter. Alternator will burn up
@@bigtrucklittlerv7969 any recommendations
Verified and tested low temp charge shut off, or nah?
I did not, I may try that I still have the battery opened up
I does not have low temp charging capability.
Their prices go up because of all the "Get rich quick" middlemen! So sick of lazy/greedy people standing between products and consumers just to make an easy buck, they totally detract from what Amazon has been built on.
KYD is a prime example.
no good watching this for anyone out of america
Why not? i"m in Jamaica.
