    Nice job, but I could barely hear what you were saying and when I turned the volume up to try to hear you then the loud music was overwhelming. Just something to think about for other videos. 😊

    Love the reno!! It looks FAB!!
    On another note can you please lower the music volume in your next videos though? I have to turn it right up just so I can hear you talking, then quickly lower the volume once the music starts because its so loud.

    Hey Home Girl, I am so excited you came up with this video. I had that same idea 15 years ago. We put a tile top & rollers on the bottom. We store our pots & pans in it & rolls all over our kitchen! When we don't prep on it we roll it back against the wall. We have even used it for a buffet. I would love to send yoj a pic. Of it if I knew how! I'm thinking of refreshing it! Its looking a bit used!

    I see all the positive comments on it. I'm really thrilled that I had the same idea you had. You are so creative!

    I'm designing one of these for my dining room, and thought I'd look to see if there were any videos on YT. So glad I found this one! Turned out great! Thanks so much for sharing!

    1s timer, this is such a great idea. I would like a few drawers for the piece I'm looking for but this helps for sure. It came out very nice, love it! Thank you so much!

    Can you make this a freestanding cabinet or does it need to be attached to wall?

    • @pf5658
      @pf5658 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can, but because of the shallow depth it may not be stable if it’s not secured to the floor. I do this type of work for a living.

  • @rspen2142

    I love this idea and your creation looks nice. The only thing I would have done different is, I would have used knobs instead of handles. the handles kind of make the cabinets look like kitchen uppers turned upside down.

    I love your end results! My husband wanted to do something similar in our living room, but I couldn’t envision it! Thank you for demonstrating. What was the total cost of this project? Can the wood be stained and varnished to match existing wood?

    • @JustCallMeHomegirl
      @JustCallMeHomegirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! It’s in the blog post but I believe it was around $350. Yes everything could be stained.

    What did you do to stick the counter top to the cabinet? Did you use nail glue? Or drill it from under the cabinet?

  • @graceolaivar2635
    @graceolaivar2635 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you attach the butcher block countertop to the cabinet? Did you mail it down from the top? But that would be unsightly. Did you use L brackets underneath o the perimeter? Or just glued it down?

    I have the same exact dining room/kitchen/living room set up and would LOVE to add a buffet. Do you mind me asking the dimensions of your dining room BEFORE you removed the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room? Thank you in advance.

    In any instructional video, I’d rather have no music, so I can clearly hear your voice.
    This music is irritating.

    Did this years ago, made a kitchen island on wheels. Very expensive, and a great DYI!!!!!!! Your video volume is bad, music loud and can't hear you!

  • @joanberglund7584
    @joanberglund7584 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you describe what you are doing, your voice is too soft. When the music plays it is overwhelmingly loud. Next time, turn down the volume on the music you include with your videos.
