From what I understand; I believe they have been working to get him to lower his back swing to keep him from grabbing his ball at the bottom and give him more control. It really has worked well; he seems to be way more consistent since lowering his back swing.
Love watching these kids bowl and the sportsmanship they show in all of the Prodigy vids. Glad to see I'm not the only one throwing Roto-Grip. Using an Hysteria now as a strike ball but gonna have to retire it soon; it's got three years of use on it. Keep the vids coming coach and keep up the good work coaching those kids.

nah! You had a great set of games. just bad breaks with the ball just plummeting straight through the pins like a game of red rover. Keep up the hard work; and try not to get so down on yourself; just keep practicing and trying. You will keep getting better; and achieve goals.

probably. But; I believe having to deal with various distractions while practicing does nothing but help for real situations that matter. It helps strengthen the focus on what he is doing in that frame so something like a ball falling off the return right at his release or any other sudden loud noises / movements in eye sight etc will be less likely to distract him. Very much like what we saw recently with Dakota bowling, when the ball jumped off the return. He was solid and not phased by it.....like he never even heard it because he was so dead set focused on what he was doing in that frame. Plenty of bowlers can easily get distracted and thrown off by simply catching a right shirt in the corner of their eye from a few lanes down from them. Or might pop up / miss a release at the sound of a whistle / loud whistle noise.

I feel like Logan and Christian should work on controlling their tempo. Don't get me wrong, they both bowled really well. Congrats to Logan on the great series though.
I'll be glad when I recovery from spinal surgery so I can start bowling again I miss it so much I used to be a sport bowler 6 years ago now I'm gonna be a chump for a while sadly I have to relearn how to bowl in a different style than before err, I have 8 300 games 5 299's 3 298's etc 1 813 series so many 700's I can't count them all I held a 224 average, 2 of the 300's were back to back

Is Christian going to Junior Gold this year as well? Coach Randy, "I wouldn't be using that ball...." Right when he is about to go. That was kinda funny. I would have said that to him when he was about to use his spare ball on the 3-6-9-10. Figure it's better to use a ball that will hook up a little. Maybe flatten out the hand / wrist a little so that it projects a little straighter and not over hook like he would normally throw and hook his ball; but still allow it to have just a small hook so it can hook up and take out the 9. Still, great short episode! Keep up the work!
+Amanda Mayer - He didn't have the 3-6-9-10. He had the 3-6-10. I would agree with you if he had the 3-6-9-10. But without the 9, I would much rather see him throw the spare ball. As for the split, I figured he'd grab his Scandal, but he didn't. But I figured something aggressive was the way to go. Still do.
BrownswickBowling Ah, okay, yeah...I agree then. Is he using a regular scandal or scandal pearl? I have the scandal pearl and absolutely LOVE it!! I signed up for a pwba pro am in Plano at the end of July, and will be getting the Gauntlet ball with my entry. As much as I love my new scandal pearl, I am excited to try out the Gauntlet now....and may be sold on and switch to Hammer for awhile. Currently been throwing DV8 and that brand primarily fills my arsenal atm. I do like the Pitbull, and it has its place and use. Ive found that in league, breaking it out early for warm up and in the first game helps carve out a line for me later on when i get into the 2nd game and find my pitbull starts over hooking. I can then either switch to my vandal, or scandal (depending on what im seeing still) Or I may just move in a board or two and keep throwing the pitbull if its still working. I also recently got a Maxim spare ball, and have been working on right side spares with that one...and knowing when to use each ball. Partly why I decided to cut my arsenal for league from 6 to 4 balls is to limit my ball choices so I am forced to use only 1-3 balls and therefore can spend the time learning them.
This, among many other reasons, is why you should join the Facebook group called "Prodigy Bowlers Tour." That's where I take the time to explain all sorts of behind-the-scenes things like this. Here's the short story: Last night I received a copyright infringement notice from TH-cam advising me that their algorithms had flagged this latest video for a possible infringement over the use of the Lionel Ritchie song "Hello." It's true that the song was used in the program. It was part of a commercial by South African music reseller Musica, which was promoting sales of the Lionel Ritchie CD. So believe it or not, they were actually flagging my video for unauthorized use of a copyrighted song without stopping to notice that the use of that song was in a spot to promote sales of that song. Damn idiots. I filed a dispute, but that takes upwards of a month for resolution. Meanwhile, viewers in certain countries (including the UK, where we have quite a few viewers) and a few users here in the US could not access the program on mobile devices. So rather than wait for the record company to look at the video, I just took the damn thing down and re-edited the video last night (I stayed up 'til 4 AM working on this "fix"). But then the video had to be re-encoded, which takes another hour or more, and then re-uploaded, which takes another hour or two. Bottom line: I still have one more encoding of the finished video left to do, which I'll begin momentarily (it's 10:20 AM ET where I am). Once that's finished, I'll re-upload the video to TH-cam. However, I have a video conference call with some potential clients this afternoon, and if I can't finish the upload before that conference call starts, I'll have to put off the upload until the call is over (video conferences require a ton of bandwidth, and I'll need that bandwidth to do the upload). So my stopping to type this is keeping me from getting that process started. Believe me, no one is more pissed about this than I am. But the episode will be re-uploaded sometime today, or at the very latest, this evening. Sorry for the inconvenience. But I can assure you, you're not half as inconvenienced by it as I am.

yes it's a great ball. very smooth down lane. my match pearl is suuuuper smooth and its awasome for dry lanes. the match up should be a little more aggressive with a smooth transition. it kinda reminds me of the torrent , which is also a great ball lol. good luck with your purchase man and bowl great 🤘👍🎳🎳🎳

All I can say in response is, you obviously haven't watched many of our shows. We almost always DO bowl on patterns. I think this is probably the first episode we've ever filmed on a weekday. I just happened to be down at the bowling center to give a lesson to a senior citizen, and I picked up Christian on my way to the bowling center, figuring he might like to bowl a few games while I was doing the lesson. Much to our surprise, we learned on the way to the bowl that Logan was heading down there, too. So this wasn't planned, and as a result, we didn't arrange ahead of time for the bowling center to put out a sport pattern. Ordinarily, when we bowl league on Saturday mornings, we try to have a sport pattern out for the kids to bowl on afterwards when we record a PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR episode. The bowling center doesn't always comply, but I'd say out of the 29 full-length episodes I've produced (all of which can be found on this channel), I'll bet the kids bowled on a sport pattern on maybe 22 or 23 of them, give or take. So you'll forgive me if all I can do is laugh at your question.
Sounds about right, Randy. I think the only videos that they hadn't bowled on a sports shot, you clearly explained why they were only bowling on the house shot. Which generally ranged from, "We have a new lane guy that is still learning. " to "We have a tournament going on using the house shot, and we happened to get lucky that there was an open pair of lanes for us to use so we could film." Like Randy mentioned / brushed on....is that this was very sudden; and to have the lane guys at any center place down a sport pattern or specific pattern, takes forewarning and planning so they can have the lanes reserved, and the pattern requested applied to those lanes. Also, centers will not generally oil lanes in the middle of open bowling. Some are just too busy and have too much traffic of people moving around the center and coming and going from various lanes that they can't very well drag a lane machine across half the house to an open pair of lanes just to oil one pair of lanes. It really isn't worth the effort for them, especially if they are busy. Generally, I think centers oil when they open; or otherwise wait until before their leagues start for the evenings to oil for the day. I know when I called a center to ask about them placing a certain pattern down for me to practice on once, they told me they'd gladly do it for free, but I'd still be paying for the games I bowl of course; and that I needed to give them a week notice so that they could reserve the lanes for me. And, they won't ever put a pattern down on just one lane; it has to be a pair of lanes, and they intend you use both lanes crossing over such as in league.

Ok McFLUFFY you can throw straight but you chose not to throw straight like dude I use my storm lights out and that ball is not meant for spare shooting but I can spare with that ball throwing it straight.... your not going to make it in the pros if you always throw a hook at the 3-6-10.....
If I left the 3-4-6-7-9-10 (in my case the opposite of that) I would just throw it hard at the middle of the 4 pin get me to bounce around not a half bad idea
Logan's got good game, but I'm not a huge fan of his fast approach. It seems like he's gonna trip or something at the foul line everytime, and his arm goes forward kinda late, so that might mess with his accuracy and consistency
If they're getting good results out of a high backswing, than why tinker with it? I could understand if they were throwing bad shots but they're out there killing it so why change anything?

Sounds about right, Randy. I think the only videos that they hadn't bowled on a sports shot, you clearly explained why they were only bowling on the house shot. Which generally ranged from, "We have a new lane guy that is still learning. " to "We have a tournament going on using the house shot, and we happened to get lucky that there was an open pair of lanes for us to use so we could film." Like Randy mentioned / brushed on....is that this was very sudden; and to have the lane guys at any center place down a sport pattern or specific pattern, takes forewarning and planning so they can have the lanes reserved, and the pattern requested applied to those lanes. Also, centers will not generally oil lanes in the middle of open bowling. Some are just too busy and have too much traffic of people moving around the center and coming and going from various lanes that they can't very well drag a lane machine across half the house to an open pair of lanes just to oil one pair of lanes. It really isn't worth the effort for them, especially if they are busy. Generally, I think centers oil when they open; or otherwise wait until before their leagues start for the evenings to oil for the day. I know when I called a center to ask about them placing a certain pattern down for me to practice on once, they told me they'd gladly do it for free, but I'd still be paying for the games I bowl of course; and that I needed to give them a week notice so that they could reserve the lanes for me. And, they won't ever put a pattern down on just one lane; it has to be a pair of lanes, and they intend you use both lanes crossing over such as in league.

Ok McFLUFFY you can throw straight but you chose not to throw straight like dude I use my storm lights out and that ball is not meant for spare shooting but I can spare with that ball throwing it straight.... your not going to make it in the pros if you always throw a hook at the 3-6-10.....

If I left the 3-4-6-7-9-10 (in my case the opposite of that) I would just throw it hard at the middle of the 4 pin get me to bounce around not a half bad idea

Logan's got good game, but I'm not a huge fan of his fast approach. It seems like he's gonna trip or something at the foul line everytime, and his arm goes forward kinda late, so that might mess with his accuracy and consistency
