I've been around people buying cars for 45 years and I have never seen anyone choose a car based on where it was build. They might "say" that but they don't do that. They buy what they want.

I have always taken into account whether or not a car is made in the USA when purchasing, but in the end it’s always come down to whether or not I want the car itself. I might pay a bit more to support the US car industry, but I’m not going to buy my second choice. I’ve been happy to see Tesla be a successful EV car company but unfortunately they don’t make a car that I want. My next car is likely to be a 2025 Ioniq 5 and I have read that Hyundai is building a large new plant in Georgia. So I may end up buying a car made in America after all. I think I’d go for a foreign car made in America over an American company building a car in a foreign country. I would expect China to start producing cars in the US fairly soon. I think the climate will change after the election, but who knows.

I would be willing to pay more if I knew it was made here in the US. But, as much as my budget will allow. Far too many jobs are outsourced, so we have to do what we can to employ people here in our own country. It’s the right thing to do.

Money is obviously the key, right? All cars seem to be pretty expensive these days. And a survey isn't the same as going into a dealership and spending your money. BUT, it's a good data point.
As always, thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate your time :)

Great video, very detailed and informative. Question though.Would the American Government be willing to allow Chinese Manufacturers to Build plants in the United States and sell their vehicles in North American Market?

We'll probably find out reasonably soon. BYD does want to build a plant in Mexico (which puts them in NAFTA).

@@EVPulse I saw this, but the American Government are pressuring Mexican Government not to grant opportunity for BYD to so. Will that effort American Government Succeed ?
