Inside Abandoned: Food World Grocery Store- Bessemer, AL

  • What's good, everyone?! Welcome to Bessemer, Alabama, where Food World was once prominent. The grocery store chain went defunct and no longer exists. This store closed in the early 90's and it screams vintage retail. Inside, you can see the hand painted drawings and artwork that lined the walls. That is just something you don't see anymore. I had to stop filming early, but given the opportunity, I will make my return.
I hope you all enjoyed my video of this abandoned Food World grocery store in Bessemer, AL.

A lot of times why they don't tear these commercial buildings down it's because it's a tax write-off they are making money 💰💰💰💰💰 when they file taxes at the end of the year they say they are losing and they are saying that is it is a commercial lofts on their business it is a very reason why these big business companies don't tear these businesses down in that's the reason why they don't demolish these buildings and build something else..!!!!... lmao 🤣🤣🤣

I've secretly always wanted to do this very thing that you're doing in this video and I've been thinking, "Man, it would so cool if someone had a video of the inside of this very building!" And the LORD must've known I would be ridiculous enough to do such a thing, so fortunately, He gave me what I wanted to see through you! It was incredibly dangerous, but well worth it! Thank you!

They should probably demolish it first as the building is in such conditions beyond repair. But after they demilosh the structure, the space will be there, so who knows what it will become....when they demolish it.

This was my Grandmother's go-to grocery store for years and years before it closed...which was sometime in the early 00's I think? She passed away in 2017. I've actually been in there many times while it was still open. It serves as a reminder to me of a time in Alabama when the average Alabamian still spoke with a Southern accent....those days are long gone, but they weren't that terribly long ago.

Ours got shut down cus walmart started showing up and now we have 3 supercenters and 2 neighborhood walmarts. They put so many good grocery stores out of business once they came to town. Thanks man! Appreciate you complimenting me about my behavior in this instance. By the way, I'm a kid, and this was my first time ever doing something like this so...give me a break. Or not...I really don't care, you no-life troll.
