I own a 4 door gc8 in Australian would have bought a rs 2.5 but the was only 400 sti v5 (the only two doors shipped to aus) so I built a nice gc8 instead
Can tell Hamza is a proper car enthusiast this is why I love your channel as people just name the typical German cars. Don't get me wrong they're great but I'd take one of these anyday or an Evo. Would love to see you review a Supra as well

It's not Japanese but I think you'd be impressed if you got your hands on a 2005 mg zs 180 not faster car in the world but is quick and more than that it's the involvement of driving it handling steering there really great to drive .was known as best handling front wheel drive car of the time and is still up with the best now.I understand the double wishbone suspension is one of the many reasons. Thanks keep the vids coming.

Brilliant video pal, I'm a 50 year old petrolhead and huge subaru fan, had over 12 in last 20 years it was so refreshing to hear the common sense approach to these cool older cars you hit the nail on the head good on you.
This is the first real turbocharged car I've seen you drive, real car with no distractions from some fake pops bangs exhaust and electronic nannies that actually drive the car for you. This classic car you have to drive it not the car driving you with fake electronic noise coming from the speakers....look at how you are smiling mate, this car connects with the driver. My lawnmower is a faster than my old BMW but a sports car must have soul and character which is lacking in all new cars.

it is not always necessary to have 500bhp plus... it is the inspiration and feeling what you have when you drive specially the old cars! Love it

Used to have a subura but always loved these p1 even today. There sick old school also had nissan sunny zx , honda prelude 2.2 vtec had alsorts nice old school shame they dont make em no more so hamza brightened up my day by doin these lovely vids your new fan an have been for a few weeks now ur always on point bro nuff love

Great review. I've owned my GC8 JDM STi for 3 years now, they aren't a really daily anymore due to rarity and rust (salty roads in winter). In my opinion I think the Classic shape (GC8) is the best for driving thrills because of its power to weight ratio they weigh 1240-1280kg which is very light for an AWD car with 300bhp :), the older models (avoid non forged 2.5 engines) are similar just heavier more planted. Finally thank you for talking about the Subaru AWD system in comparison to the modern 4WD haldex system, it's a relevant point and provides a base as to why the Subaru is a well engineered and more raw driver focused car.
Love the sound of this engine.
A lorry driver from my work had one of these years ago, just imagine drivin a lorry all day then jumping into one of these to drive home, bet it never felt slow!

Awesome car and a good review. So much more fun than a Golf R etc but not really a daily driver. They sound better than pretty much any other 4pot engined car.
They are not Recaro seats though, standard impreza turbo seats with Prodrive colours and logo. Once you drive one it's hard to not want to buy one. I loved my RB5, so much more visceral and raw than modern cars which makes them so much more involving.

I only recently found out how light the GC8s are, amazing. Even my Gen4 Liberty/Legacy 3.0R specB sedan weighs a relatively low 1500kg, not bad given the six cylinders, six speed, r180 diffs and four doors

there was never ever such a car as a WR edition P1, you can add WR Sport extras to a P1, but there was never a WR P1

Had one of these back in 2001, X626ADK. Sold with about 17k miles on it. Never drove it in the rain. Brilliant car miss it so much.
Great video.........I ran a tuned Scooby for 15 years. Still to this day I swear it's better than my RS3 saloon. The Audi haldex is terrible in the snow compared to the Subaru awd 50.50 split. Miss my old Subaru.

Please do more Subaru reviews. They are fantastic cars that are super fun, have a great rally heritage and they are severely underrated. I myself own a stage 2 2011 wrx, very fun to drive.

I had the pleasure to have owned the WRX STI PPP MY02 and the WRX Spec D PPP MY06, truly amazing cars so capable and controllable on the throttle (still own a Forester 2.5 XT PPP MY06).
If you get the opportunity to own an unmolested classic Subaru then it will be a car you'll forever love and remember for all the right reasons.

I have had 4 of these in the past and now drive a 435i and in convo with people still say up to this day best drivers car I have ever owned!

The boxer engine really hasa personality, it might not be as fast as these hatchbacks or the evo but it's unequal length headers just give it a beautiful personality.

I love how Subarus always seem to surprise people. I could be wrong but more often than not, they are pretty quick compared to how much horsepower they got.

One of my customers had a P1 back in the day. He took me out 4 a quick spin 12 years ago, we had a motorbike doubletake and look scared! Lol. I got a golf r now but i still think the P1 would win...
Power per tonne 163kw , 4.9 seconds in 2000 to 62 mph . 2019 wrx sti power per tonne is 146kw
