      I get really confused by the word 'kvar'. I know what it means, but I never know how to use it. It comes in so many combinations with other words, I get really confused when to use it by itself and when with other words.

      I'm not sure if you have already, but could you please make an explanation of how to use "ju." Like, I think it may come after (or just before?) a satsadverb (t. ex. inte, aldrig, ändå...) but the actual meaning(s) of it escape me. I can't figure out how to use it. Also, words like nog, väl, dock, etc. Tusen tack!

    Well I'd always say that "skit" dose not mean shot as in poop, but rather as dirty, "lortigt"
    Also the way people use difrent adjectivs and adverbs can differ for person to person i think.
    And you misunderstood a question one of your students asked. She whented to learn about how you can take adjektivs and make them into adverbs by ading a "t" at the end of them~

    I would like to see a video about words that are pronounced or spelled very similar in Swedish, but can have very different meanings.
    I have learned that difference in one letter can result in an embarrassing situations. One time, i said "jag rengjorde dum" and was surprised that the teacher started guessing, what exactly did i do. At first i thought that she was perplexed because i used online dictionary to translate the sentence and might have chosen the wrong word for "cleaned". What i should have said though, was "damm". But i also know "en svenska dam".
    Could have been worse though. I could have been writing a romantic message and used "att kissa" instead of "att kyssa"...

      Those "happy accidents" are very helpful 😊.
      Besides being a funny story they are easy to remember and boost your Swedish that way!
      Check out our Pronunciation playlist. We do often go in to all this things like glas and glass. And help you pronunce them right and avoid those in the future 🙈

    I used recently one Swedish word in Stockholm, the word is "Faktiskt". I was really surprised that I was told not use the word when confirming something is really good, like "maten var mycket god" I answered positively "ja faktiskt god".
    I was told that "Faktiskt" can be understood in Stockholm in different ways, like "trots allt, maten vad god" which was really confusing. What's is your view on this? Should I have used "Verkligen" instead of "Faktiskt" Thanks in advance ☺

    • @erikjohansson2703
      @erikjohansson2703 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I would say you should say "verkligen" in that situation cuz "faktiskt" carries the connotation that you thought it would be bad but it turned out ok/good. So saying "Maten var faktiskt god" would mean " The food actually tasted good" (like you thought it would be bad)

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends a bit on the context 🤔.
      If you are saying something is "REALLY good!"... an in... it is "very good / fantastic", your best option is probably "Det var riktigt gott!". Or "Maten var fantastisk".
      "Faktiskt" can work like you were told. That in spite of bad expectacions it was "actually good". 😊

    For “cool” - does it always have the “t”? Or is it en/ett dependant?
    Till exempel-
    ”Den här videon är coolt”…?
    Har jag rätt eller fel?

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, it depends if it is an en/ett word.
      The correct phrase would be "Den här videon är cool" (en video).
      If you are refering to an "ett"-word then it would be "coolt".
      For example, "Det här jobbet är coolt" (ett jobb).
      You would also use "coolt" when you are refering to a verb.
      "Det är coolt att lära sig svenska" (it is cool to learn Swedish).

    What about the use of snygg vs snygging?

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! Means the same thing but "snygging is more slang", like "hottie" instead of "hot".
