I love the massive comparison between the dwellers. The Goat Man stalks around, taunts you, plays noises, lures you in, roars, toying with you. Meanwhile the Night Dweller just stalks from a far and does not make a sound, he is there to kill, not toy

I love how calm and gentle puff is. When Sway first died from goatman, puff said “oh- oh shoot.” In such a calm fear way. I find it funny you have Sway who is freaking out a ton, then you have puff who is calm and collected.

Man its already bad enough hearing creepy sounds from these things, but hearing it speak is terrifying, and the fact it even mimics the sounds of players is genuinely horrifying, especially when taking in account that screaming out for help or whatever is an actual thing many killers do irl to lure in victims, it preys on the uncanny valley while putting you in a real world scenario

Idea: has a deformed owl face with a toothy beak and is covered in grayish brown fur and feathers, has four small wings that it flys around with and is very tall when standing up.
Way it attacks: swoops down, picks you up and drops you, and also has a slashing attacking with a bleeding effect.

honestly I’ve seen some games do that and the idea is terrifying, it kinda reminds me of this one analogue horror where the entity stole the voice of a random guy and it was the most mundane sentence ever but the way it was used made you feel dread every time you heard it

The goatman doesn't use a fear engine but a terror engine, he torments you mentally by luring you, playing with you, taunting you, while the night dweller simply uses a fear engine, when you see him you look at him automatically, then he starts running, he doesn't torment you, play with you, taunt you. He just runs towards you like an animal just putting fear inside the player.
I think it's cool to have a fear engine but once in a while it plays a certain sound that makes you think it's coming but it isn't.
Love how Swayle just paniks basically all the time while Puff is like "oh...well thats spooky."

You should add random player sounds when players are further apart from eachother to make the player think that his friend is there when they arent. Example sounds can be item picking up, damage sounds, walking/running(theres a mod for better block based sounds), breaking blocks(based on specific blocks near the player), or another fishing reel sound if ur fishing, etc.
Also for singleplayer or if theres not alot of players, you could still make this work ofc
