Kalgoorlie Road Trains

This is a really short video of my chance encounter with the giant trucks and road trains operating over the Kalgoorlie to Coolgardie Road, about 600Km east of Perth, in 2014. It was inspired by a video of Geraldton Road trains I was watching, posted by Koorta-Boodjor, who has kindly given me permission include a segment of his in this video. Fantastic video! Those side tipper road trains were still trying to overtake the oversize loads, in the last scene! Bet you were glad, you weren't parked down there! 🙂 Many thanks Terry, in acknowledgment of the Bringo Hill scene. Terry.

they run a spare axle to save stopping if they blow tyres on an axle? just chain it and keep moving?
