Thank You for this video , I've seen many pronunciation videos that only give you audio but it helps tremendously to see how my mouth is supposed to move when I'm pronouncing the Japanese sounds.
Ohayoo gozaimasu! Thank you for your work. I have been struggling with the "i" sound. Being able to watch your lips, teeth, and tongue movement has been more beneficial!
at first i thought the background music would be distracting and make it hard to hear her? but i was wrong. it is easy to understand how she pronounces the kana. i am a beginner and this video helps immensely. thank you Aeru :)
As you said, background music ir noisy..so, I changed the microphone and smartphone☺️ Thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm motivated to Keep teaching.
Very interesting, compelling and well illustrated by you! This is the first reference to learn Japanese. Other types of character sets are "katakana" (for foreign words), "kanji" (symbols imported from China) and "rōmaji" (to describe the sound of Japanese in Roman alphabet). ☺️ 😉 😀 😍 😮 👏 👍 🇯🇵
The romanization of the characters shouldn't be what you base it on, only the way it actually sounds, and the shape the mouth actually makes when it's said. Don't use roumaji as your metric.
I am very late to this comment but from my understanding, la and ra are just the closest alphabet approximations, neither is actually the correct sound, I think it's somewhere between the two? I assume it's the same for the other character as well
Fun Fact I realized and from my experience: Romaji are only important for typing, and used as a integration tool into getting used to Hiragana characters (after learning hiragana don't reply on them for sounds it will miss lead you, my worse regret is ん , ふ , & entire r row). And, take time to master Hiragana, for Katakana sounds are same thing as Hiragana, and Kanji beginners can use furigana to read Kanji, furigana is a small size hiragana usually above the kanji to help children get use to reading and speaking Kanji basically. And, never neglect long vowels, changing sounds of ん in a word, small つ or ちさいつ functions , & combinations or Japanese digraphs. Key thing: When you master Hiragana well you can master Katakana and Kanji too with sounds. So, good luck, and Sensi aeru mouth movements are important here too.

hey! my tip is to learn hiragana and katakana first (I've started with hiragana) and (if you want) go to kanji. I also recommend joining a community of people learning Japanese so you can ask questions (tell me if you want me to send you a discord link) also to make it fun, try to translate songs you like.

When has ra sounded like la? The letter L doesnt even exist in japanese!

おかし(okashi) = snack
おいしい(oishii) = delicious
おきる(okiru) = wake up

I eat snacks.

when i try to translate my name, Kelbie, it translates to kelby instead but i dont know why
Based on how your name is pronounced, in hiragana shouldn't it be...
けえらび
Ke-E-Ra-Bi
Or
けらび
Ke-Ra-Bi
Kelbie = ケルビエ
Kelby = ケルビー
It depends on how you pronounce your name☺️
